Snowballs and Hot Tubs

On Monday, Daddy showed Ayson how to throw snowballs. When Addie (Adrianna's nickname) is older, I am telling her that Daddy threw a snowball at her!! I will make sure to teach her how to throw snowballs back!

Kathy came over for a visit and she brought gifts for Ayson AND Addie...pillow pets! Thanks Kathy!!

Ayson doing the "Grandpa Roger Face" :)

Ayson imitating Daddy. Daddy is always sticking cheerios on his forehead so that Ayson can notice them and take them off.

Ayson cuddling with Daddy while watching cartoons. We rarely watch cartoons at home...what a treat!

Grandma taking Ayson for a ride in the new toddler sled...weeee!

Ayson and Daddy went in the hot tub today! It took Ayson a bit to "warm up" to the bubbles and jets but then he was all smiles.

MERRY Christmas!

All week we kept telling Ayson that Santa was coming and that we were flying to the Soo to see Grandma Pat and Grandpa Roger.
On Monday, night Santa did drive by for an early visit on the LaFayette firetruck. Ayson was very excited when we saw the fire truck all lit up and the sirens going...and drive PAST our street at 7:30. By the time Santa came by our street/house (at 8:30) poor Ayson still had his eyes open but he was pretty zoned out and I am not certain he even remembers seeing Santa at the end of our drive way. Mommy intended to take a video but somehow messed it up...there is always next year!

One of Mommy's friends from work, Robyn, gave Ayson a Christmas gift and we let Ayson open it Tuesday night. It was a book about bats and it came with a CD with information on bats and bat sounds...thanks, Robyn! Ayson loves reading the book!!

Horsing around with Mommy before bedtime.

Giggles and a story with Daddy on Thursday.

Our first bit of snow in the valley on Friday...

Ayson and Daddy being silly at breakfast Saturday morning.

A walk in the orchard on Saturday before our big adventure to the Soo.

Daddy showed Ayson how to crunch the ice...one of Mommy's favorite things to do!

Ha,ha,ha...Daddy wanted a hug but Ayson walked right past him to crunch some more ice!

To get Ayson ready for the plane rides, Daddy and Ayson played "plane" (fighter pilots) on the computer.

Ayson was a great little flier! Ayson and Daddy walking through the airport tunnel in Detroit.

Checking out the water fountain at the Detroit airport.

After all the walking that Ayson did on Saturday, he was content to sit with Mommy on the floor and eat dinner (cheese quesadilla and an apple).

Grandpa giving Ayson a ride on Christmas morning.

Opening presents: The John Deere tractors were the "prized" toys until Ayson opened up the play doh.

Our Little (BIG) Helper and In Search of Fun and Snow

The week has FLOWN by! In a way, this blog makes us reflect back on the wonderful little moments throughout the week :)

Ayson has been helping Daddy and Mommy around the house. Helping Daddy get wood for the wood stove and helping Mommy with laundry...thanks, Ayson!

Ayson putting another ornament on the tree. Ayson: Onment, Ornment, ORNMENT!

Finally, a picture of the Tree! Ayson loves to pull the child friendly ornaments off and hide them around the house :)

Daddy bought Ayson a little Santa hat but Ayson is not in to it that much...

Check out the "hat" that Ayson is wearing in this picture:)

Ayson and Mommy coloring.

Ayson and Daddy playing with his animals.

On Saturday, we went to Pratts Falls because we figured there would be snow there, if not at our house...and we were right! Ayson had fun looking at the snow.

He also liked to eat the snow. When Mommy showed him how to throw snow on Daddy he had a blast, even though every time Ayson tried to throw the snow ended up back in his face :)

On Sunday, Caryn stopped by for a visit. Ayson showing Caryn his Big Truck Book.

Daddy made a yummy Indian meal and Caryn brought Ayson, Mommy, and Daddy Christmas gifts! Thanks, Caryn!

Ayson giving Caryn a BIG hug!

Ayson and Daddy had a blast with the bristle bricks...the possibilities are endless!

Sunday ended with Ayson and Daddy reading on the couch. Ahh, what a great weekend!
