Merry Christmas!

We hope all of our family and friends spent Christmas with loved ones!!!

We went sledding on Sunday!  Mommy and Daddy wish Santa would bring us a couple of new sleds :)

Addie and Daddy baking chocolate chip cookies for Santa.  Addie wanted to help Daddy this time around!!!

Mmmm!  Cookie dough batter is the best!

Check out the size of these grapes!!!!!

This year we decided to have a Christmas Eve Wish Dinner (so each family member got to choose what they wanted to eat:)  Ayson picked hot dogs, Addie a cheese quesadilla, Mommy picked brie with fruit and wine, and Daddy made a shrimp quesadilla, fried rice, and homemade salsa.  YUM!!!

Ayson wanted FIVE hot dogs :) He ended up eating only two :)

After our afternoon feast, we went for a walk in the orchard.

The creek looked so pretty with the new snow!

Addie said she liked this walk since she was able to jump in lots of puddles and break lots of ice with her boots :)

She was ready for bed before 6 pm :)

The kiddos getting ready for the night time visitor!

Addie wrote out the thank you note to Santa :)

Christmas Morning

Ayson made us a calendar with his hand prints for each month!  Addie also made us a hand print picture to hang on our wall :)

Ayson received Cozmo the robot from Santa

The kiddos testing out Addie's new Pedicure Spa set :)  We had hoped to take our new sleds out for a trail run but the weather was crazy windy and we did not want to have to deal with that so the kids stayed in their (new) jammies all day!

Happy Holidays!

We hope all of our friend and family get to spend time with THEIR loved ones AND take a moment to realize how much they have to be thankful for.  Mommy and Daddy are thankful for good health and happiness for all four of us.  The kids had TONS of fun activities this week and then on Saturday we visited with GREAT Grandma Barb and celebrated Christmas with Grandma Collene :)

Mommy just found this picture on the school website:  Addie is in the 2nd row from the back, 2nd child from the left (she is wearing red).

The kiddos working on their Happy Birthday cards to Gianna :)  Gianna is now 16 and earned her driving permit!!! YAY and Gianna!!!  But also how is it possible that you are SIXTEEN!?!!?!?

Ayson's card involved a "game" of "find the cat in the tree"

All week at school, the kiddos had a theme for each day. Thursday was dress in holiday gear. Ayson in his Santa hat and tie (from Auntie Holly and Dane :), and a pair of Mommy's holiday socks!

Addie in reindeer antlers, her snowman sweater (Auntie Holly/Ryleigh) and another pair of Mommy's holiday socks :)

The view in Tully Thursday morning during Mommy's ride to work

Mommy and Daddy attended the kiddos Holiday Party Thursday afternoon.  Daddy helped Ayson's class build graham cracker/gingerbread houses

And Mommy helped in Addie's class with their Holiday Party!

Holiday Sing on Friday morning!  The kiddos sang holiday songs in the cafeteria and this year Daddy was able to join us!  Man, it got hot in there with all of those bodies!

Friday night had Daddy preparing the Utica Greens for Saturday festivities at Grandma Collene's (Daddy is cutting prosciutto and it turns out that Mason LOVES prosciutto)

Opening presents with Grandma Collene!

Smiles all around!

Addie and Mommy both received cozy slippers from Grandma.  Thank you, Grandma!!!!

YAY!  A cookbook just for kids!!!

Ponies, and paint, and crayons, OH MY!

A telescope!!!!!!  SO cool! :)  Now, if it would just quit snowing outside so we could see the stars :)

Thank you Grandma Collene for the fantastic gifts!!!

Hot tub time!

Our ride home took much longer than anticipated (due to snowy conditions) but we made it home and were snuggled inside safe and sound before the sun set :)

Fun Outside!!!

Daddy got home after midnight on Sunday (so Monday morning) and Mommy left for New York City on Monday.  Ayson was not feeling well on Friday so he ended up staying home from school. We spent the weekend getting ready for the holidays and on Saturday afternoon outside at Labrador Unique Area for a low key walk.  On Sunday we went sledding (before it melts away next week!) !!!

Mommy took the train from Fishkill NY into Grand Central Station and then we walked to our meetings which were along 5th Avenue.  Mommy took a picture of the "kitty" on the side of the building and while putting the picture on the blog she just realized it is the Cartier store :)

On Saturday afternoon, we took a walk at Labrador Unique Area.  Labrador had MUCH more snow than our little valley!!!

Walking to Tinker Falls

Snow angels!

Tinker Falls!

We did not climb all the way to behind the falls.  Mommy was worried about the kiddos slipping on the trail.

The board walk

Daddy surprised the kiddos with a snow shower

Check out Daddy's smile :) :)

On Sunday, we went sledding!  We ended up at a hill at the high school after we drove 20 minutes to Highland Forest just to discover that the sledding hill was not open.

Get ready, set, GO!

The walk up the hill is NOT as much fun!
