Mommy and Daddy were supposed to have a very short trip to Seattle (only 2 nights for Mommy) so that Mommy and Daddy could attend Daddy's company Holiday party. Well, due to the big snow storm on the east coast, instead of catching the red eye flight Saturday night, we could not leave Seattle until Monday night. Yikes! Luckily Mommy and Daddy have AMAZING family and friends and we were able to get the kiddos taken care of AND Ayson off to school Monday/Tuesday morning. Thank you SO much to Grandpa Chuck, Grandma Collene, Scott/Lucy/Sam/Ben, "Grandma Linda," and Sunshine!!!!

Mommy left the kids in care of Grandpa Chuck on Thursday and then the kids spent Friday night through Sunday afternoon with Grandma Collene.
Since Mommy had the ENTIRE day of Friday off, with nothing to do, she booked herself a full spa day at a spa/salon in Seattle. It was awesome!

After breakfast, we headed over to the EMP (Experience Music Project) Museum...a 5 minute walk from the hotel There is a permanent "Nirvana" exhibit that Daddy wanted to check out.

Once we got confirmation from the airline on when our new flights were to be (Daddy was on hold for an hour!), Mommy came up with the plan to make sure the kiddos were taken care of until Mommy and Daddy got back safely to New York. It certainly takes a village!!!!! Thanks again to everyone! The kids had SO much fun on their adventure!!!
After we got the kids ALL taken care of, Mommy and Daddy headed to the Pike Street Market.

Sunday was GORGEOUS and we checked out the Space Needle. The little break in the clouds in the left side of the picture is Mt. Rainier.

With no major worries (of course we were thinking about the kiddos) OR timeline, Daddy and Mommy spent almost TWO hours in a Japanese Tea shop taste testing teas. The big glass jars along the wall held the teas. The teas only steeped for at maximum 20 seconds!

The kiddos at Grandmas
Grandma Collene dropped the kiddos off at Lucy and Scott's on Sunday afternoon. Then around 4 pm, Scott (or Lucy) drove the kids to Linda's. (Linda had family over on Sunday and Mommy was trying to give Linda as much time as possible before our kiddos arrived for the next two nights).

Since Scott drops off his kids at Linda's before he heads to work, Scott agreed to pick Ayson up at Linda's and take him to school Monday and Tuesday morning (car seat issue taken care of and not out of the way [other than extra time needed to drop Ayson off] as both Mommy and Scott have to drive right by Ayson's school to get on the interstate in order to drive to work).
To get Ayson from School, on Monday, back to Linda's, Mommy asked Sunshine to pick up Ayson (when she picked up her son , Khanlen) and drive to Linda's (where she dropped off Ayson and picked up her own daughter, Mikhan). Sunshine did have to install an extra car seat...ugh and THANK YOU!

On Monday back in Seattle, Daddy went to work at the main office building and Mommy lazed around the morning, met Daddy for lunch, and then walked around the Queen Anne neighborhood of Seattle again.

Mommy and Daddy were SO happy to be home and so excited to see the kids that afternoon! Mommy was so tired Tuesday night (on the plane, Mommy got about 2 1/2 hours of sleep and Daddy MAYBE 45 minutes of sleep...ugh!) that she noticed her eyes were closed, more than they were open, during Addie's bed time stories AND that she was slurring her words (no alcohol involved!).
Daddy and Mommy were in catch up mode the remainder of the week (sleep and chore wise) so very few additional pictures and no blog update once Mommy got home.
Friday, January 29:
Addie spent over 30 minutes on the potty on Friday night. She CAN do everything she needs to do but she refuses and wants help "folding" the toilet paper so that she can wipe. Addie with a "wailing whine": "I don't know how to FOLD!!!!"
On Saturday morning, Ayson helped Daddy move in boxes of books/journals into Daddy's new office space in downtown Syracuse. It will now take Daddy about 14 minutes to get from work to home (not that the 20-25 minute commute was bad but now he is in a brand new office space!)
Just down the street from Daddy's work is the Oncenter Convention Center and the War Memorial Arena. Mommy and Daddy just so happened to have tickets to see Cam, Eric Paslay, and Brad Paisley Saturday night at the War Memorial!

Mommy and Daddy saw Eric Paslay last March and Mommy really wanted to see him again...Daddy was more interested in Brad. In the below pic, Brad is playing in the center and to the left (in front of the blue neon bar stand Eric Pasly and Cam). We had 5th row seats (but there were about 20 rows of standing room only in front of us, separated by a walkway portion of the stage). However, when the performers walked to the very front of the stage, we were so close!
On Sunday, Ayson was not feeling well, fever and throwing up so we had a very low key day. It was crazy warm so Mommy and Addie did go across the street to the "Little Park"
Mommy then decided to drive to work to get her computer since she envisioned a few days home with sick kids (assuming Addie would be next within a day or two). Cross your fingers that we all do not "go down!" Addie went along for the ride and was chattering the entire drive until about 5 minutes before we arrived at Mommy's work :)
