Treasure Hunting and a Visit with Grandma

A^4 had a great week and we hope everyone else did too!  We went for a fun hike on Monday and then went to Grandma's house on Friday and had fun with the family!

On Monday, we decided to look for the medallion as part of the Annual Syracuse Treasure Hunt
We went treasure hunting at Onondaga Lake.  We did not find the medallion but we had fun!!  We walked over 4 miles during our excursion:)

The kids had the week off for winter break but the After School Program was open.  Yay!
They went to the movies on Wednesday, made potpourri/votive holders, and broke out the dominoes!

Reading the book Almost Super for Battle of the Books - a contest Ayson is participating in on March 8th :)

On Friday night, we headed to Grandma Collene's.  The kids played hide and seek (the mouse) with Grandma and Mumma (the mouse is in Grandma's pocket :)

We spent lots of time outside exploring on Saturday

Aunt Julie, Uncle Dan, and the cousins came over and we went for a hike to Squirrel Hollow :)

More Fun in February!

We hope everyone had a great week and weekend!  We had a quick week with a snow day on Tuesday and a 2 hour delay the next day, school parties, plus dentist appointments, a family Valentine's dinner date, and a weekend at home...finally, a chance to relax!!!!

Ayson wanted to make sure that Grandma Pat and Grandpa Roger knew that he loves his rechargeable (and convertible) robot!  (Ayson insisted on making this video Monday morning:)

Tuesday was a snow day and we had friends over: Grady and Carter.  The kids played video games, did a lot of high pitch screaming (a boy thing?), board games, and played outside.

Walking on Daddy's feet :)

Pictures from Addie's teacher

100th Day of School Party - hahaha due to snow days, the 100th day was a little late

Ayson posing with HIS crazy tooth that was sticking out sideways - ugh!

For Valentine's Day, we had a family date :)

On Saturday, we took the kids to a Credit Union to start their own official account.  This CU comes to their school every other week and the kids can deposit money from their piggy banks :)

On Sunday, we went to Tinker Falls (Labrador Unique Area).  The sun was out and the sky was blue with temps in the low 20s BUT there was no wind!  We will take it!

LOOK at all of that ice on the waterfall!!!

Adam and Ayson climbed up and behind the waterfall - so cool!

The red circle is where Amy and Addie are at the bottom of the waterfall

So cool!

Again, the red circle is where the girls are at the bottom of the waterfall

The boys climbing down.

The view from the pond!

While at Labrador, we met a few families that were participating in an Onondaga County treasure hunt that has been going on for 37 years!!!  Of course now the boys want to also find the medallion and win $2,000!!!!

A Fun February Week with Friends

A fun week for A^ with a dinner date on Monday, a visit with Ms Annie and Cub Scouts on Wednesday, a Cub Scouts sledding event on Saturday, and a great day at home on Sunday with a walk in the orchard in the afternoon.  We finished the book, "Adventures of a South Pole Pig":)  Suc a cute book!!!!  We hope everyone is healthy and enjoying the weather (be it cold OR warm ;)

On Monday, the girls had a date night with Ms Linda!   Red Robin while the boys went to 5 Guys :)

On Wednesday, Ms Annie stopped by to pass on a few treasures to the kiddos: dolls, a golden kitty figurine, kitty plates, and a journal :)  Thanks, Ms Annie!!!

Addie writing about her pets

Ayson practicing on the piano.  His music teacher sent home music sheets to Santa Claus is Coming to Town and Baby Shark :)

A picture from Addie's class on Friday

A 100 day project from Addie :)

I was asked to give my wildlife presentation to the other two 3rd grade classes so last Thursday I went back to school and not to Ayson or Addie's class:)

A Valentine  project from Ayson (outside the classrooms)

Saturday was the cardboard box sled building contest for Cub Scouts - too bad we did not have any snow!!
Ayson's Pack's finished sled

The still judged the sleds: most spirit, fastest looking, slowest looking...hahaha

The boys also played games

Adam volunteered to run the ring toss activity

Grandpa Chuck and Pama sent the kiddos Valentines cards and gifts of money!  Thanks, Grandpa and Pama!!!

Addie lost TWO teeth on Saturday night!!!  Blah, those teeth were hanging on by threads and were twisted in her mouth - so gross!!!

All of us playing Baby Shark Saturday night :)

Sunday afternoon walk to the creek.  Adam with a huge section of Sycamore bark.

The did not get water over their boots too bad this time!

It is hard to see here, but there is a slight downward slope and Ayson kept sliding so he held on to Adam's leg...Ayson almost took both of them out!
