Selfies, colds, tantrums, and cardboard boxes

Mommy "went down" first, followed by Ayson, then Addie, and Daddy will probably "go down" (with a cold) on Monday or Tuesday :)  So other than trying to contain the germs and get lots of sleep, all is well with A^4.
Both kids now recognize the theme music for Superman.  It is so cute to hear Addie say "Superman" in her little high voice.  Ayson loves the song "Old Man Down the Road" by John Fogerty...this song now trumps "Itsy bitsy spider" in his book :)

Ayson snagged the camera again...nice picture of your newest stuffed puppy from Grandma Pat and Grandpa Roger, Ayson!

Asyon's "selfie"  Mommy especially loves the "unicorn" hair twirl!

Addie helping Mommy clean up the rice that Addie spilled.  Notice that Mommy has yet to take down the Christmas calendar...Mommy intended to take it down this week...oh well maybe next weekend :)

"On your mark, get set, ready, GO!"  Addie usually throws a fit when Ayson tries to ride either of "her" horses...not sure why she is allowing Ayson to ride the newest one from Grandma Collene now, other than the fact that they are racing.  Giddy up!

Addie's first "on the floor with flailing limbs" temper tantrums occurred Thursday and Friday.  Granted, Addie was starting to get her cold so Mommy can't contribute everything to Addie approaching the 2 year mark.

The tears were short lived and both kids had a blast with the BIG cardboard box.

Addie licking the peanut butter off her her breakfast toast Saturday morning.

Ayson crashed out on the couch and Mason sleeping in a crazy position on Friday Saturday night.

Daddy took the box out to the garage but Mommy rescued in on Sunday so that the kids could continue to play with it...take THAT, Daddy :)

Love and Family Fun

We got a bunch of snow over the past week and have been having fun playing outside.  We visited with family over the weekend and Mommy and Daddy even got to sleep in... on Monday...not so much on Sunday with the kids being in unfamiliar beds!  All is well with A^4 and we are all happy and healthy.

Monday:
Daddy has started cross country skiing at night now that we have a bit of snow pack and he has been taking Ayson with him..."GO, go, GO, Daddy!"

Daddy gave Addie a rose for Valentine's Day and both kids got chocolate (Mommy also got flowers).

Ummm, chocolate drool!

Why yes, I HAVE eaten 4 pieces of chocolate...is that a problem?!  The PROBLEM was that he did not fall asleep until 10 pm!

Mommy also gave the kids music cards with the tune "Heart and Soul."  The cards were a big hit...

as were the puppies and candy that Grandma Pat and Grandpa Roger sent.  Both kids had to sleep with their new best friends the rest of the weekend.

On Saturday, A^4 went to Auntie Julie and Uncle Dan's house to go sledding and play with the cousins.

Everyone had a great time playing in the snow...Addie was not fond of the trek back up the hill as she ended up on her back or making the slow trek in Mommy's arms.

Afterwards, we had a yummy dinner with Grandma Barb (Babs) and Grandpa Jim (Uncle Dan's parents and another set of "adopted" grandparents for Ayson and Addie :)

Addie snuggling with Auntie Julie Saturday night.

Auntie Julie got on the floor Sunday morning and it took less than 30 seconds for the kids to find her and all pile on.

After another round of sledding on Sunday morning, we went to Grandma Collene's for the afternoon. Ayson and Daddy were checking the closet for the "Troll" (Grandma) and Ayson was frightened of all the noise the Troll was making in the closet.

Grandma reading to the kids.

Addie was out as soon as she got in the car...she only had a 40 minute nap on Sunday and no nap on Saturday and she still managed to be our sweet baby doll all weekend.

She perked up enough to ride on the horsey (that Grandma Collene is letting us borrow) after we made it home Sunday night...giddy up horsey!

New Clothes and a Snow Day!

It was just Mommy and the kids this week as Daddy was away for work.  We had a good week and even got an extra day "off" due to lots of snow on Wednesday.  Daddy came home on Friday night and the kids were SO excited to see Daddy on Saturday morning!!

Auntie Holly sent us another box of clothes and the kids had fun exploring the box!

New underpants and jeans!!!!  Ayson loved finding new clothes to try on...Auntie Holly, Ayson loves the scent of your laundry soap :)

Mommy and the kids had a snow day on Wednesday so we Skyped with Grandma Pat..."HI Grandma!!!"

Addie's Nutella face

Our goofball

We made sure to play outside for our "snow day"

Ayson flying like Superman...with Daddy's minimal assistance, of course.

Ayson got "stuck" in the tree Saturday morning.

Addie and Daddy

Daddy pretending to bite Addie's fingers...but we don't allow kid fingers in our mouths because Mommy and Daddy do NOT want to get sick!

Ayson's friend, Conlin, came over after the boys went sledding at Conlin's house.

The two boys had fun building ships and planes with the bristle blocks and legos.

Addie all set for the Clemson vs Syracuse game...the 'Cuse won

Check out Addie sporting her Clemson jersey, high heels, and her fishing pole!  You GO, girl!!!

Relaxing with the Family

The week started off cold and then warmed up enough over the weekend for A^4 to do a bit of sledding.  This winter it has been nice to just hang out in the living room (well, the "play room" as it is now called) and play with the kids rather than do chores outside.  :)

Tea time!  Addie offering Daddy and Ayson tea.

Addie offers tea by saying: "here, here, here"

Our Pumpkin dressed in a pumpkin sweater...Mommy loves how Addie has the "purse carry" down pat!

A great smile from Ayson...he finally got his space ship back (taken away for not listening)

Addie is a vulture when it comes to eating Mommy and Daddy's food.  Here she is eating Daddy's pizza...she only managed to get one or two red pepper flakes.

Ayson decided to wash his hair with hand soap...sigh.  He almost has a Mohawk going!

Daddy combing Addie's hair during Friday night tv.

On Saturday, we went sledding at the elementary school.  Addie was so excited to go "outside" that she ran and got her hat!

Addie enjoying a bit of snow after going down on the saucer.

The long trudge back up the hill.

Daddy ended up just laying Addie down so that she would not topple over during the walk back up the hill.  Addie was eating a snowball during the ride.

Daddy's turn to go down the hill!

Ayson" "I'm Batman!"
