Summer Vacation!

The first week of summer break for the kiddos.  Too bad the weather was cool and rainy.  But then the weather cleared up Friday and we had a gorgeous weekend!  We did have a wonderful weekend of events with friends and family.  We hope everyone is doing well and we are sending good thoughts to our family and friends!!

Our friends came over to swim on Wednesday.  Addie did not swim (too cold for her) but she did jump on the trampoline.

On Saturday, there was an event at the Lavender Farm and Ayson worked the event helping to park cars and Amy and Adam attended the tea and food tasting event.

Gorgeous table setting.

Tasty food and treats!

Ayson received an invitation to apply for National Honors Society.

A floatie pyramid!

Visit with family on Sunday - we visited Grandma Collene and Mike before we headed to Grandpa Chuck's for a late Father's Day lunch.

Ayson inspecting the wood pile at Grandma's

We got to meet Grandpa Chuck and Marie's new puppies: Nugget and Peanut!  Most of the pics of the puppies are blurry because the puppies would not stop moving!

The ladies walked the pups while the boys set up the corn hole game.  Auntie Julie and Cousin Curran were also there and Ayson and Curran played corn hole - Amy thought she had gotten a picture of them playing but she did not!

Ayson LOVES to hold animals and cuddle them (Mason was a good cuddler) and he was able to hold a puppy a few times without them squirming away- yay!.

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to all the Dad's that we know!!!  The kiddos are glad to almost be DONE with school - Ayson has one more test to take (Spanish) on Monday and he does not have to stay at school after the test.
Amy was away for work on the Buffalo and Niagara Rivers collecting fish to assess PCB and mercury concentrations for the human consumption advisories.

Two "circle of life" fish pics (big fish eating small fish:)

A picture of fish gills for Addie

Flower pics interspersed throughout the week

Addie using the "wimpy" rake to gather up the weeds/grass Amy pulled from the red raspberries.

We found two garter snakes in our yarrow patch on Saturday afternoon.

Ayson teaching himself how to make a website

Hi test website is text from a book on snails.

Addie made Adam another cool Father's Day card.  Ayson split and stalked the remaining firewood that was on the ground as his gift to Adam :)

Silly Stormy!

For Father's Day, Adam wanted to go for a hike on the west side of Labrador Unique Area (the non-hang gliding side).  It was a gorgeous day for a hike!!

Slug pic for Addie.

Stormy was sitting in her cage and Ayson willingly joined her and he shut the door.

When will it (school) end?!

The kiddos are SO ready for school to be done for the year!  The weather certainly felt like summer with even Amy getting in the pool on Friday and Saturday.
We are sending good thoughts to our family and friends and we hope everyone is taking care of themselves!!

Addie insisted on getting this $5 unicorn floatie (for ages 3-6).

The traditional summer balance and throw challenge.

Ayson helping Adie with a math problem.

A boy and his dog.  Ayson went to Lake Bonaparte with Annie and Bob Friday afternoon through Sunday morning and did more yard work for a neighbor.  Ayson was tied when he got home!!

We have lots of flower pictures from the week :)
