Good Bye January!

A busy week for A^4 with an end of the semester (and month) minor cold and tests for Ayson, Yearbook club and Wellness (exercise) club for Addie and weekend cleaning/organizing and laundry room remodel finishing touches for Amy and Adam.

It SNOWED on Monday night and Tuesday morning and Amy was ready with full bird feeders!  What she was not expecting was the neighborhood chicken to visit. (We don't know who the chicken belongs to). The kids SO wanted a snow day last week but there was not enough snow for even a chance of a snow day

The chicken eating bird seed with the birds.

Addie ordered more mercurian creatures with her Christmas money and they arrived on Tuesday!!  She was so happy!

Over the weekend, Amy re-arranged Addie's toys in the playroom so that Addie could more easily reach them.  Addie re-discovered kinetic sand!  Check out all of Schleich horses lined up on the 2 shelves!!

A short week with Martin Luther King Jr day on Monday and the kiddos had activities during the week.  It has finally been cold but we have not received very much snow to play in.  We are sending good thoughts to our family and friends and hope everyone is doing well!!!

Ayson is building another creation - this is the prototype.

On Friday night, we went to Tully's for dinner and Addie had to collect more rubber duckies

On Saturday evening, we went to Kate's house.  Addie posing with a flower...

But WAIT, it is not an ordinary flower - it's a magical fairy!!!!

On Sunday it was brrr cold so we went to Labrador Unique Area and checked out Tinker Falls and the pond

There was MUCH more snow than at our house and the kiddos had fun with the snow, ice, and water.

Addie wanted a picture with a detailed chunk of ice

While the kiddos played, Adam walked up on the ridge until he could see the falls.

After Tinker Falls, we checked out the pond and the boardwalk

Addie's cheeks were so pink!

On Sunday afternoon, Amy went to Annie and Bob's for a short visit - the setting sun was making the tree buds glow!

Game Night

Our snow melted away early last week and now we have brown/green grass.  Hopefully this coming week will result in snow!!!  We had a week of pictures that start and end with Thunder.  Amy only had pictures of the kids from Friday night game night, but that was pretty fun - thanks, Kate and Emelia!!!  We hope everyone is doing well and staying healthy!!!

On Friday evening, Kate and Emilia came over and we had a game night (Adam was still out of town for work).  We played 5 different games and by the smiles you can tell that everyone had fun :)

Animal Upon Animal

Too cute!

What a trickster/joker!

Addie's turn!

Steady hands were needed.  By 8 pm on Friday night, Amy's mind and patience have checked out so she did not attempt any daring animal placements.

Another fun game where we had to build an object to match the picture.  THIS pony was the only animal card Team Kate and Addie drew from the deck of cards.  Meanwhile Team Amy and Emilia drew an animal card each time!
