Unwanted Souvenir and Summer Break

LAST week of school for the kiddos!!  They are SO excited to be able to sleep in!!!!
Adam arrived home from Spain on Monday around 1:30 am with an unwanted  souvenir - covid 19.  SO, he spent as much time as possible outside or in the finished basement.  Luckily Adam's symptoms, as well as his meetings colleagues (6 other people that attended the international meetings), have been mild.  As on Sunday evening, Amy and the kiddos are symptom free and negative.  We hope that our family and friends are enjoying time outside are happy and healthy!!!

The deer have been eating our veggies and sunflowers!  In an attempt to stop the deer, Ayson made a scarecrow for the garden.

Sixth grade graduation was Tuesday evening.  Ayson is the child wearing a mask (since we had a household exposure).

Ayson did not want a picture at the school but he did pose for a photo once we got home.

The 6th grade class went bowling in April, to a waterpark in June, received a 6th grade t-shirt, a 6th grade class memory book, AND the below super comfy sweatshirt.  Now on to the JĂșnior/Senior Highschool!!

We have been enjoying many walks around the gardens after dinner :)

There are SO many bees at the milkweed patch

Last day of school - the first thing Ayson did was take off his mask...

then walk over to a lily and enjoy :)

A little park fun before we went swimming on Thursday evening - a great way to start summer break!

The water temp was 85 degrees!!!!

A gorgeous purple coneflower from Thursday

Addie's version :)

Ayson decided to clean the fish tank on Friday  - the kids were concerned about Blackie - the goldfish (that won't die)...he was an Apple Festival "prize" from many years ago.

On Saturday, we went to Labrador Unique Area and dinked around in the creek and walked the board walk.

Flipping rocks in search or salamanders - we found four!!!!

A new friend

Looking for frogs

and more salamanders - the water in the creek was extremely low as we did not get much rain during the week.

A blurry image but proof that we found salamanders!

The tree on the right had roots that surrounded the tree on the left - very cool.

The board walk - the boys went left and the girls walked the "right" way

First summer break smore!

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to all our friends and family!

The kids had their end of school year Olympics: Ayson's team represented Columbia and Addie's was Italy.  On Friday, Ayson's entire 6th grade class went to a waterpark in Rochester for their class trip.  He had fun on the rides with his buds :)

Ayson working on his team shirt (drawing the Columbian flag) Monday evening.

While Ayson worked on his shirt, Addie was on the tire swing.

Gorgeous day for outside fun!  The field.

Balancing relay - a ball balance on what looked like plungers

Addie came in the long distance run - Addie is a FAST runner!

The kiddos had the most fun with the water relay race - where the goal was to pour water on the next persons head:)

Tug of war!

We spent the Saturday getting chores done so we could sleep in and relax on Sunday :)
Raspberries are starting to ripen as well as mulberries!

Gorgeous lavender!

Artwork and Garden Walks

School is almost over and the kiddos are SO ready to be done for the year!  The highlight of the week was seeing the artwork the kids brought home from school and the evening garden walks:)  We had a low key weekend with chores, a play date, and a bike ride.  We hope that everyone is doing well and had an enjoyable weekend!!

With school wrapping up, the kiddos brought home their artwork!
Addie explaining to Adam her world design

The initial world design.

Adam said something that Addie did not find amusing.

After dinner, we walk around the gardens and Adam plays catch with the kiddos.  Ayson has a great throw!

Addie had a play date at a friends house on Sunday and while Addie was gone, Amy and Ayson went for a bike ride.
