Creek and Pool Fun, the NYS State Fair, and Grandma and Grandpa Roe Arrived!

Well, another good week for A^4 AND we have a POOL!  :)  The third time was a charm - for installation:)  In addition to playing in the pool, we played in the creek, went to the NY State Fair, AND went to a birthday party at Stafford Park.  We hope everyone we love is enjoying summer!

During our walk on Sunday at Tinker Falls, the kids wanted to play longer in the creek.  So on Monday, we went to the little creek behind our house and the orchard so that the kids could poke around - literally!

Ah, a full pool!

On Friday we went to the NY State Fair
We invited a friend for Ayson so that Adam would not have to go on all of the crazy rides this year.

The boys frittered away $25 on this game - all with the goal of getting the giant yellow/orange  hamster to the left of the guy in blue.

Leaving the fair (walking over I-481) and eating cotton candy

On Saturday, the kids attended McKenzie's birthday party AND she had a treasure hunt!  Ayson loved the treasure hunt and wants to go back to the park to look for remaining treasures :)

Perfect end to a fun day!

Adam left for a work trip on Saturday and Grandma Pat and Grandpa Roger arrived on Sunday afternoon to watch the kiddos while Amy is at work.  Thanks, Grandma and Grandpa!!!

Summer Days

The kids had their first week of summer vacation where they did not go anywhere (no activities) and hung out at the house while Adam worked from home.  So once the kids got bored and started bickering, they were put to work: sweeping the porches, cleaning windows, weeding the gardens and picking up weeds, more windows, more sweeping, and more homework to top everything off :)
We hope that all of our friends and family are happy and healthy and enjoying summer!!!

Weeding the front gardens on Monday-looking good, kiddos!!!

Another gorgeous wetland flower that Amy spotted BUT she can not figure out what it is!

Checking for salamanders and crayfish while walking the creek.

Building a cairn above the falls - we love playing in the creek!

Fabulous Sunday adventure :)

On the way home from our hike, we stopped to pick more blueberries!

Ayson found the best blueberry bushes - thanks, Big Guy!!!
