The Little Things

Another "normal" week for A^4.  Daddy and Ayson have been trying to trick each other into saying "poop" at the table...which is an automatic timeout.  Addie now says Mumma and means it :)  We are enjoying the little things in life :)
We spent plenty of time outside and over the weekend, we went to Aunt Julie and Uncle Dan's so that Daddy could help clear some wood around a pond on property that they just bought.  All of the cousins had a great time playing together.  We all went to Dan's Mom's (Barbara..."Babs") retirement party...yay for Babs!

Monday:
Ayson INSISTED on sharing his cookie with all of us.  We found out that if we quit sharing food with the kids that we did not pass germs around as much so we all get sick less.  SO, it was hard to turn the cookie down...Mommy ate a piece but Daddy resisted and just pretended to eat.  Ayson even gave a bite to Addie.

After dinner, we went outside and Mommy brought a push car so that Addie could get a feel for walking in the grass.

Addie then tried out the swing...she loved it!

Tuesday:
Ayson bringing a flower to Mommy.

Mommy and Addie playing near where Daddy was improving the edge garden.

Look close and you can see Ayson's pink flower in Mommy's hair.

Ayson wanted in the wheel barrow and Gianna helped.
Ayson really really likes Gianna.  He kept asking Gianna to "kiss him" but she would not.  Mommy said that she would kiss Ayson but Mommy does not think Ayson was very content with a kiss from plain old Mommy :)

Baby Doll and Gianna.

Wednesday:
Daddy showing Ayson a grub.  Ayson has gotten over his fear of bugs and now picks them up (or squishes) them all the time.  We will have to keep a watchful eye on Ayson when it comes to bees and wasps!

Thursday:
Addie wearing a cute fleece that just arrived form Auntie Holly.  The hood sets off her cute baby cheeks so well:)

Friday:
Playtime before pizza!  Ayson climbing all over the load of topsoil that Daddy had delivered.

Notice that Ayson is using his little John Deere tractor to scoop up dirt.  From there he would transfer the dirt to the yellow dump truck near his knees.

Movie night with the 3 boys!  Ayson is really tired...he is already twirling his hair.

Ayson snuggling with Mommy and his horsey.

Saturday:
Daddy and Ayson hard at work and play.  What a great weekend to be working outside and spending time with family.

Ayson had tons of fun playing with his cousins and Uncle Dan's tractor!

Sunday:
Addie and Daddy getting in some giggles.

Ayson helped Daddy mow a portion of the yard and as Ayson was getting off the mower, his shirt got stuck on the gear shift.  Daddy ran into the house to get the camera so that he could snap this picture.

Sunday afternoon had temps at 75 degrees.  Holy Crickets!
Ayson had fun with the house and he was trying to make a swimming pool in the grass.

Mommy and Addie out for a stroll in the gardens.

LOOK!  Addie is standing in "air."  She has been standing without support in little bursts this whole week but  Sunday was the first picture.  Mommy loves her arms out for balance.

What a GREAT smile from our Big Guy!

Mommy reading a story to Ayson and Addie coming over to see as well.  Both kids were tired from the weekend...notice Ayson twirling.

Family Fun

Ayson continues to amaze us with what he understands and what comes out of his mouth.  Ayson understands when something is "pretend" and we all have a lot of fun playing along with him.  Addie nods her head yes and no and officially says the word "Dada".  When Ayson gets to close (when he is acting crazy hyper) Addie is quick with the "back off" slaps.

Monday was warm so we found ourselves outside...Addie next to her box and Ayson not far from the bugs. Ayson likes to rid our (new) siding of the box elder bugs.

Mommy was in Buffalo for meetings Tuesday through Thrusday and Daddy held down the fort with the babies.  Daddy must have been making plane noises with Addie's spoon because he is all over the place and Addie was paying close attention.

This is how smear marks get on the camera lens :)

A great smile from our rag-a-muffin - we don't want to cut Ayson's hair and he does not want us to cut it either...he loves to twirl his hair when he is tired.

Wednesday night fun before din din.

Daddy took a picture of Wednesday's dinner.  Yes, Addie's dinner portion is MUCH bigger than Ayson's and she had no problem finishing it...Mommy is waiting for the day our little "hoover" turns into a finicky 2 year old and appears to subsist on crackers and air.

Addie LOVES it when Daddy gets down on the floor and she can climb all over him.

A BIG smile from our big guy.

Friday was gorgeous with temps in the 70s but within 10 minutes, a front moved through and the temp dropped to the low 50s.

Helping Daddy move dirt.

Mommy and Addie have a routine where Mommy helps Addie balance on the big picture window windowsill and Addie slobbers all over the window and bangs on the window.

Ayson having fun with the finger paint.

Mommy and Ayson playing "I'm going to get you..."

The three kids hard at play.

Daddy's Little Girl: Addie cruised over to Daddy after she finished her dinner and sat with Daddy while he ate his.

Ayson with one of his "funny man" smiles

Sunday morning cuddles.

On Sunday, Daddy smoked and grilled a bunch of meat, made mac and cheese, baked beans, and cole slaw...yum!  We invited friends over and Ayson got to play with Sam (2 years old) and Addie hung out with baby Ben (9 months old).  Ben is already wearing some 18 month old clothes and Addie is just starting to wear some 18 month old pieces...watch out world, Ben is going to be a BIG boy!
