Amy had a work meeting in the Sault SO the whole family came along so that we could spend time with Grandma and Grandpa and visit with family and friends. We hope everyone is doing well and having fun outside!!!!
The Sault Historical Society had an exhibit of the Sault from the 1950s and we checked it out on Sunday.

On Monday, the kids and Grandpa played Connect 4
The Great Lakes Center, where Amy's work meeting was held, had a gorgeous display of the Great Lakes.
The first portion of the meeting involved a meet and greet while on a tour of the St Marys River and a trip through the Soo Locks.

On Tuesday, while Amy was at her meeting, Adam and the kids went out to eat with Grandma and Grandpa and they went swimming at the hotel Aunt Shirley was staying at.

On Wednesday morning, the kids went for a walk with Grandma while Adam went for a long bike ride.
Once Amy's meeting was done at noon on Wednesday, Grandpa and Grandma took us on boat ride of the lower St Marys River. Check out Ayson being a goofball.

Adam gave the kids money IF they would rub his feet for 5 minutes.

After our boat ride, we had to have burgers, fries, onion rings, and chocolate malts from Clyde's Drive-in. Our dinner view.
After dinner, the kids insisted we go to Shipwreck Adventure Gulf - NEXT year, the put-put golf course will be gone (due to development in the area). Adam, Amy, and Addie each scored a hole in one on the same hole!!!
The hole that resulted in your ball going in the water (and shooting out the bottom of the walkway) was a favorite for the kiddos.
On Thursday, Amy and Adam had lunch with Doug and Sue Easterday (friends that we went to France with in 2014). Getting a game of checkers in before our lunch date. Addie was learning how to play.

After our lunch date, our friend Kathy came over for a visit. It was great to see you, Kathy, AND thanks for the yummy banana bread!!

On Friday, we went to breakfast and the waitress talked Ayson out of doing a breakfast food eating challenge and just getting a regular (very big portion) meal.
After breakfast, we went to the beach Amy played at when she was a kid. The kids fixed a moat/pond.

After lunch, Amy and Adam had a visit with our friend Bryce. On the way to Bryce's house, we saw the freighter we had seen that morning (it had gone through the locks and was headed south).
While Amy and Adam were gone, the grandparents took the kiddos on another hike :)
We finished off our week in the Sault with s'mores :) The sun sets near 9:30 pm in the summer!!
A^4 made it home by noon on Saturday and that afternoon we were back in the pool with friends.

On Sunday, we went to Kate's to see the chickens AND to see the newest family members: bunnies!!!
