Lincoln Pond Vacation: Saturday through Monday

On Saturday, we packed up our things and the dogs and headed north and east to Elizabethtown NY and Lincoln Pond for a week. Neighbor Denise checked in on the cats and Sage [leopard gecko] while Kate and family took care of the pool. Thank you Denise and Kate!!!

Addie saved two juvenile red spotted newts from the fire pit...we were the first fire of the season!

Ayson started the fire with his homemade fire starting kit.

On Sunday, Amy and Adam took the dogs for a walk while the kiddos slept in.  Johnny Jet getting a drink of water while sitting in the water to cool off.

We hiked a short trail while waiting to meet our friends in Willsboro NY.

We met up with our friends Sunshine, Jeremy, Khanlan, and Mikhan on the NY side of Lake Champlain.  

Lunch location was dog friendly.

They live in Vermont but there is a family cottage in Willsboro NY.

Jeremy's friend with a REALLY fast boat stopped by and both Ayson and Adam got to go for an 80 mph ride.

We took the dogs with us and they hung out on the deck and in their crates when we were not around.  Ayson balanced the bottle on Johnny Jet's back.

Monday morning hike to a great view of Lincoln Pond and the NY high peaks.

After our short hike, we went kayaking.  The girls returned by noon while the boys stayed out fishing until 3:30 pm

Addie was sad about the fish in the bucket.

BUT, Addie did like this bluegill sunfish!

After dinner, Amy and Addie went to the dock and Addie tried to catch a fish by hand!
