Bye, Bye, July!

We had another great summer week of fun: the summer program for the kiddos, family friends visited on Wednesday later afternoon, Mommy and Daddy celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary on Thursday by buying a new wireless sound system (Bose), and then A^4 went to Grandma Collene's on Saturday.  We finally got some much needed rain on Monday but we could still use more!

Purple cone flowers next to the back porch.  The reason they look so beautiful is because Mommy uses the dehumidifier water on the flowers next to the back porch to water them everyday.

Ayson with the robot he built out of recyclables and the connector kit that he received for his birthday:)

Pool time!

Ayson loves to jump in the pool repeatedly :)

Friends of Mommy and Daddy's, Bryce and Janet, stopped by for a visit on their way from MI to ME on Wednesday.  Bryce was an undergrad mentor to Mommy and Mommy kept in touch with Bryce and Janet over the years...now they love Daddy and the kiddos too!

Showing our friends the thirsty gardens.

Peas!

Bryce and Janet gave the kiddos stuffed animals and bouncy balls.  Thanks, Bryce and Janet!
The kids slept with their animals that night :)
SO...on Tuesday night, Ayson had a dream that he was peeing...he woke up to find out he had peed the bed...then he woke Mommy up to tell her.  Mommy groggily got up and stripped the sheets and was ready to remake Ayosn's bed when Daddy stated "why not let him sleep in his sleeping bag"...PERFECT!

At lacrosse on Thursday, the last practice of the season, the coaches made up a TON of water balloons and let the kids play with them.

Daddy with our first sunflower of the season.

Pretty sunset on Thursday!

Pool time on Friday night.

On Saturday, A^4 went to Grandma Collene's and from there, Mommy, Daddy, Grandma, Uncle Jay, and Auntie Jen went to the Brantling Bluegrass Festival while Ana, Riley, and Jake stayed at Grandma's and watched Ayson and Addie. Thanks Ana, Riley, and Jake!!!
The highlight of the afternoon (for the adults) was getting to see Rebecca Colleen and Little Roy and Lizzy (shown below).

We had a great time and the music was fantastic!  Thanks Grandma for inviting us to the festival!

Playtime in the hot tub!

Summer Smiles

A great week and weekend.  We are all happy and healthy and Mommy and Daddy are thankful everyday for the "little things" including happy and healthy kiddos.
The kids had another great week at the summer program and Addie can't wait to go back.  We found out this week that Addie will be in the afternoon Pre-K (so morning day care...Addie will get on the bus with Ayson) but she will not have the same teacher that Ayson had so we are looking forward to meeting Addie's new teacher!
Just another summer week and we enjoyed another weekend at home...we are gearing up for being away for most of the weekends in August!

Smiles from the Big Guy after Mommy sewed a hole in his turtle stuffed animal.

Daddy throwing the football with Addie (Ayson had already had enough).

Hi Addie!!!

On Tuesday, Ayson went with the big kids to Yaman Park in Cortland and Mommy surprised Ayson with a visit during her lunch break!  Tuesday was "only" in the mid 70s and when Mommy got to the Park, Ayson (Grady too) was huddled under his beach towel trying to stay warm.  Ayson was very excited to see Mommy :)

Ayson and Grady

While Mommy was there, the kiddos swam and then had a snack.  Amanda wanted a picture with Ayson (Mommy and Ayson attended Amanda's b-day party at the zoo earlier this spring)

The weather was MUCH warmer on Wednesday and the kiddos went swimming with Gianna.

On Thursday, Mommy went to Canandaigua to see Brandy Clark and Chris Stapleton with Grandma Collene, Lou Lou, and Neil.  What a great show!  We sent the below picture to Daddy...

and Daddy sent us this photo: Daddy and the kiddos at lacrosse practice Thursday night :)

Mason realxing on Friday night.  Happy Friday!!!!

Bandit went for a swim on Friday night!

You know the weekend routine :)

On Friday night, Daddy got the boat ready so that we could go fishing on Saturday morning at Little York Lake.  We launch the boat from Dwyer Memorial Park in Preble NY (~15 mintues from home). What an incredible day!!!!
Captain Ayson!

Addie was the most successful (a plastic fish every time).  Mommy just loves to cast and reel using Addie's pole :)

Daddy caught a chain pickerel!

We checked out the wading pool at Dwyer Memorial Park after fishing.  The kids had a blast!

Saturday afternoon we attended a high school graduation party and we told the kids that there would NOT be a bouncy house at this party...when we get there we see THIS!  LOL!  It is a running game were you have to see how far you can run before you get "snapped back" by the bungee cord attached to the back of the vest that you put on.  Of course the kids had to check it out!

The girls helping the kiddos (Jade is on the right and she babysat the kids one day 2 summers ago when Ms Linda was not available)

The graduation party was at an upper field of the "Big Park" so  we had to stop by the exercise and playground equipment before we continued on with our day.

Sit ups!

Steady Addie!

Then on to the playground!
Monkey bars!

Great job, Ayson!

Ah, we ended Saturday with a dip in the neighbors pool with the huge turtle that "Auntie" Kathy gave the kids last summer

That evening was a repeat of Friday...Smores:)
The kids watching a cicada crawl along the swing.

Another cicada

Daddy roasting TWO smores at once and they both turned out golden brown!

Mommy slathering Addie in sunscreen.  Mommy is wearing gloves because she learned LONG ago that sunscreen can remove ink on water bottles and messes with nail polish.  Yes, Mommy understands she is applying this lovely mixture to her babies but the alternatives are long shirts and pants, stay in side, or sun burns.  (Mommy does usually put Addie in a swim shirt (like what both kids wore on the boat on Saturday) but she could not find Addie's shirt).

We were the unwilling participants in a water balloon fight at the "Big Park" playground...there was another party at the pavilion next to the playground equipment.  An adult brought out a HUGE bin of water balloons and the kids at the party had a blast THEN they started hitting US with water balloons (they probably thought we were part of their party since we were at the playground that is right next to the pavilion).  Anyway, Ayson wanted to have a water balloon fight on Sunday so we filled a bunch of balloons, invited Gianna over, and got wet:)

Addie running away...notice Ayson in the garden.

After water balloons, Mommy joined the kiddos in the trampoline with the sprinkler.  Addie did not want to lay down for a "soaking"

Then on to the pool!  Mommy caught Gianna in mid jump for this picture!
