Smiles, S'mores, Frogs, and Cinderellas!

Monday night:
Mommy loves baby and little kid feet...grown up feet, not so much :)  So here is a picture of Addie toddling around.  She can now turn the push car in the direction that she wants to travel!  Yes, the kiddie pool is stored on top of the couch when not in use...where else can Mommy put it so that it is out of the way of kids and pets?!

Ayson correctly put together his train track set and got the train and all of its cars put together.  Watching Ayson surprised and amazed Mommy that he could do it now on his own.

Tuesday:
Fun outside after dinner.  The weather was perfect with 65 degree temps!

Wednesday:
Neighbor Gianna came over to play and she chased Ayson around and around...thanks for tiring Ayson out for Mommy, Gianna!!!  :)

A close up of Addie's soft and cuddly cheeks.

Daddy made it home safely Friday night just in time to help finish up bath time.  Both kids (and Mommy) were SO excited to see Daddy!  Daddy got the kids cute outfits, so stay tuned for pictures next week!

Saturday:
Addie walked over to her rocking chair, looked at Mommy, and then pointed at her chair.  She was content to sit their and watch her big brother play.  It's interesting that she knows her chair and does not try and sit in Ayson's chair.

When Mommy goes out the front door, holding Addie, we can not walk by the swing without stopping...otherwise Addie starts to complain...too cute!
She loves her swing and this is a "happy" face.  In addition to her 7 teeth that she has had for awhile, 2 top molars are cutting through.

Neighbor Gianna gave Ayson the trike he is riding in the below picture...now both kids have wheels!  We were all surprised at how well Ayson could peddle.

He wanted to ride the trike down the hill (not to worry, the distance from the hill to the road is really quite far) and the first ride was a complete success!  (Mommy was nervous but let him do it).

However, the next 5 tries were complete wipeouts. BUT, Ayson would get up after each wipeout, state that he was "ok," and then would try again.  Luckily he had his Superman T-shirt and Batman hat on!

Daddy took Ayson for a hair cut (finally!) Saturday morning and you can get a glimpse of his new "do" in the below pictures.
Ayson helping Daddy water the garden.

Daddy and Ayson sitting next to the chiminea...waiting to have S'mores!

Ayson LOVED the S'more!

Mmmm!

Saturday evening, Neighbor Tom (Mr P to Ayson) invited us over to check out the bull frogs in his pond.  Ayson had a great time spying on the frogs!

Ayson getting a closer look at a frog.

Sunday:
Addie pointing at the camera.

Ayson helping Daddy with the hand tiller.

The entire family was in the garden Sunday morning.

Addie got tired of standing, so Mommy flipped the box over and sat Addie inside.  Ayson had to join in on the fun too and climbed in the box.  The kids are starting to play together and it is fun to watch.

Neighbor Gianna stopped by with balloon animals from the After Prom Party that her brother attended.
On Saturday evening, Ayson got a chance to see 2 girls all dressed up for Prom...while we were waiting to see the girls, Ayson kept calling them "Cinderellas" and he asked Mommy if they would kiss him.  When it was finally time to see the "Cinderellas," Ayson got all bashful and hid his head in Mommy's shoulder.  He would only peek at the girls.  Of course, the girls thought Ayson was a cutie!

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all of the wonderful Mothers in our lives...this includes the Mom's to non human kids too :)

We had a wonderful week of weather before the weekend turned a bit cooler.
A couple of Addie's molars are starting to erupt...poor Baby Doll!  On Sunday, Addie pushed Mommy away with her hand while Addie was playing with Ayson (Mommy was just trying to wash Ayson up after dinner!  It was too cute:)
Ayson has a new name for himself: Action Ayson Paul Roe Ryan Superhero :)  Ayson wanted to go for a walk in the "woods" Sunday afternoon so we did!  Ayson and Mommy pushed Addie in the trike.  Ayson said his legs were tired afterwards but he walked the entire way!  Normally, if Daddy is with us, Ayson will ask to ride on Daddy's shoulders.  Ayson did not ask once to be picked up!  Granted, our pace was slow due to the bulk of the trike.  Addie protested every time we stopped :)

Monday night:
Ayson wanted to carry around the watering wand.

A smiling Daddy and his Addie:)

A picture for the parents: house with new siding and flowers/flowering tree.

Adam has been consolidating gardens so as to make it easier for him to mow in the backyard.  The wildflower strips that were behind the veggie garden and the two strips closest to the apple trees (in the side yard) have had much of the lupine, purple cone-flower, and butterfly weed transplanted to the new edge garden.

Tuesday:
Boys...throwing burdock at each other...at least Mommy no longer has to be Daddy's target!

Watch out Daddy, Ayson is going to get you...you just wait!

Wednesday:
Giddy up, Mommy!  Addie won the race :)

Walking barefoot in the flowering apple trees.

Ayson blowing the dandelion.  Luckily, we don't care about dandelions in the yard because blowing on dandelions is a must when you are a kid!

LOL, this is how Ayson was sleeping when we checked on him before we went to bed.  Crazy boy!

Thursday:
Mommy and Ayson.  The curls in Ayson's hair are all from him twirling!

Saturday:
Eating strawberries with chocolate kisses stuffed inside...yum!

Addie checking out the book selection Saturday afternoon.

Ayson playing basketball with the hoop/ball set that Daddy bought earlier in the week.

Saturday night, Ayson wanted Addie to race him on the cars (Mommy and Daddy used to have to race Ayson).  Mommy had to help Addie "go" but both kids had fun!

Sunday:
Addie enjoying time in her rocking chair.

Ayson was very proud of the TALL rocket that he built!

Hey, It's May!

Mommy was away for work again...on the Raquette River collecting fish while Daddy held down the fort.  Don't feel bad for Daddy...Daddy is going to Scotland on the 9th for a meeting and won't be back until the 17th.  Yes, Scotland and yes the trip will be more than 4 nights :)

Mommy and a white sucker.

Monday night:
Ayson: "Daddy, I LOVE hot dogs!"

Wednesday:
Ayson and Addie fixing the Buzz Light Year car.

Thursday morning goofball:  Mommy figured she better post a picture of Ayson's face since one can rarely see his face in pictures because he is always on the go!

Friday:
The kids were VERY happy to have Mommy home.  Friday morning Mommy surprised Ayson by coming into his room when he woke up and Ayson said, "Mommy, you're home!"
(Mommy was not supposed to be home until Friday afternoon but she was able to leave early and was home after the kids went to bed on Thursday).

After dinner, we all went to the park so that Ayson could get some practice on his 2-wheeler.  He was more interested in his dump truck and the swings.

Addie handing Mommy her sunglasses

Ayson: "Go, go, go!"

Ayson getting a push from Daddy on the BIG Boy swing!

Addie getting a "Wee" ride from Mommy

Ayson wanted to "fly" on the swing and he wanted Daddy to "fly" too.  Daddy said it was too hard to fly like that now...Mommy did not believe him so she told Daddy to "move over."  Daddy was right...big people can't fly like little kids :)

Saturday:
In the below picture, Addie is not happy with sharing Daddy with Ayson...and so it begins :)

Mommy and Addie playing in the shade Saturday afternoon while Gianna and Ayson play in the pool.  Addie loved watching the bubbles.  Addie can now blow kisses...too cute!

An action photo of Ayson and his "girlfriend"

A bare butt Baby Doll before bed time.  Addie does not like to touch the grass with her feet...but she does like Mommy to tickle her feet.

Sunday:
A^4 went for a walk at Labrador Unique Area.  We saw the waterfall, caught a fish, and had a picnic lunch!

Ayson kept talking about going on an "expedition."
Ayson:  "Daddy, what kind of bug is THIS?!"

Ayson and Daddy setting the rest of the worms free...or watching the sunfish feast.  The bluegills were very sneaky at getting the worm off the hook before Daddy or Ayson noticed.

Addie LOVES to have the windows down so that the wind blow in her face.
