Happy Halloween!

Another week has blown by!  Mommy and Daddy captured some great smiles from the kids this week.
Addie's words for the week: hair, eye, nose, mouth, hot, Ayson, and yeah.
Ayson responding to Daddy's statement that Daddy thought Ayson "probably did not need anymore candy"...Ayson: "well, I probably do want to eat more candy"

Monday:
Daddy "jungle gym" has gone vertical!

Playing outside on one of the last warm days of the year.  The kids met another little girl at the park and everyone had fun playing together.

Ayson and Gianna

Think fast!

Tuesday:
The kids did not finish their dinner in time to be able to go outside and play...so Mommy went outside by herself.  Even Addie was not happy.  She is definitely slowing down, in the amount of food she eats...sigh our "little hoover" is gone.

Wednesday:
A bit colder but we still played outside.  Addie is wearing her bumble bee Halloween costume/jacket. Addie:  "Gianna, I want UP!"

Ayson rolling down the hill like a crazy man.

Thursday:
Indulging in some chocolate Halloween candy on Thursday night.
Mommy and Ayson went "Trunk or Treating" at the Presbyterian Church with Scott, Lucy, Sam, and Ben while Daddy and Addie manned our door and gave out candy.  Even a little bit of rain did not stop the kids from having fun.

Pretty smiles!!!

Hi Big Guy!  Ayson is showing off his sucker ring.

A car trunk decorated as a witch.  (Ayson as Batman and Sam as Superman).

This van was ALL decked out as a huge monster...very cool!

Ayson inspecting his loot!  Daddy said:  "that's it?!?"  Mommy replied:  "do you really think Ayson really needs more candy/sugar?!?"

Friday:
Ayson is now riding his two wheeler without training wheels!  Using the balance bike really helped Ayson make the transition.  Awesome job, Big Guy!

Gianna and Addie messing around.

Go, go, go!

Saturday:
A pretty smile from Addie

Ayson playing with a rocket (including sound effects).  Daddy took Ayson to Barber Sam for a "normal" haircut.

We went to Stafford Park on Saturday so that Ayson could get some more bike time in.  Ayson, however, was more interested in the slides.
Addie can now "nudge" herself into going down the slide.  Check out the smile on her face :)

Ready,

Set...

Go!

Weee!

Saturday afternoon was rainy so we all found ourselves coloring.  Thanks for coming over to play, Gianna!

Our two chick peas!

Sunday:
Daddy and Mommy's friends Sasha and Tamara stopped by on Sunday.  A^4 got to meet their daughter, Zara (11 months old), catch up, and we all got to feast on Vietnamese noodle soup (thanks to Daddy!)

We had a great time visiting with Sasha, Tee, and Ziggy.  We miss you guys and look forward to our next visit...whether in the States OR Denmark!!!

Friends, Family, and Football!

A^4 had a pretty uneventful week and an action packed weekend!  On Friday, we went to a Halloween Party with Sam, Ben, and Lucy (held at the local elementary school for pre-k through 6th graders).  On Saturday, we headed to Grandma Collene's and Grandpa Ric's for a day visit.  Then on Sunday, we played around the house and yard and got caught up on chores.

New words for Addie this week: milk, door, hair, nose, bear.
Ayson told Addie that he loved her...too sweet!

Monday still had warm/dry temps so we played outside before the cooler/wet weather forces us inside. Addie kept looking for Gianna and was very happy to watch Gianna make her way over to play!

Addie swinging with Gianna.

Teeter totter time!

Ayson asked Gianna to be thrown in the garbage...so Gianna obliged:)

Playing with the barn.  Addie had fun closing the doors on Ayson.

Mommy thinks its crazy that Ayson can still fit inside.

Friday night is Pizza Night and Sam (2 1/2), Ben (1), and Lucy (Mommy) joined us for dinner before heading to the Halloween party.

Superheros!  The Ayson blur (batman) is how he acts...always on the go...non. stop.  There were games set up in the gym and each player received candy for playing.  Granted, the boys seemed to have as much fun playing on the gym mats...

Addie was dressed as a little bumble bee but the jacket was warm and was shed within the first 10 minutes on arriving.  There were a few games even geared for her level (throwing and tossing).

Saturday:
Daddy helped out around the farm and Ayson had SO much fun riding on the tractors!

Like dogs, kids seem to congregate in the kitchen.  Addie loved cuddling up to Ruby!

Sunday:
Mommy and Ayson cuddling while watching Curious George.

Our little Eskimo :)

Ayson helped Mommy gather spent flowers so that we could toss them in the hedgerow.

Addie had her FIRST tractor ride with Daddy!!!!

Daddy's football fan (probably because she is content to sit in your arms and cuddle while Ayson can't sit still unless a show he likes is on tv)

An Extra Day with the Grandparents and Pumpkins

The week started off with an extra day with Grandma and Grandpa and ending with Mommy going back to work (yay for the job but Mommy really enjoyed her time off with the kidlings!)

Addie's words for the week: morning, why (thanks to Daddy), and down...as in "get down".
Ayson has been waking up in the middle of the night lately and we think it is related to the Halloween themed cartoons he is watching at day care because Mommy found out Sam is doing the same thing to his parents (and Mommy's colleague).

Addie dancing with Grandma

Grandpa's turn!

Fun at the park

Addie had fun galloping with Daddy...giddy up!!

Ayson wanted to test out his two wheeler (with training wheels) for this outing.

Cuddling with Daddy Friday night during cartoons.

Saturday morning was a gorgeous fall day so we took a walk in the orchard.  Ayson posing with his walking stick (and showing off his muscles).

On Sunday, A^4 carved pumpkins.  Addie was not too keen about getting her hands all gooey but we all had fun designing (Ayson and Daddy) and carving (Daddy and Mommy).

Such a great smile for our Big Guy!
Addie:  "Hmm straight pumpkin is very different from what Mommy feeds me!"

Addie and Ayson walked through the "gut" pile and Addie did not like the stuff stuck to the bottom of her feet!

Cheese!
