The week went by in a blur and we all ended up with minor colds....just lots of snot for the kiddos. Mommy thinks Addie is teething as Addie's hands were constantly in her mouth over the weekend.
The weather for the weekend was perfect for a visit with Grandpa Chuck on Saturday and then our first dinner on the patio on Sunday. We hope all of our family and friends had a wonderful Easter surrounded by loved ones!
Curly Cue Addie and her baby dolls AND her little purse!
Addie's crazy curly hair. With the snow giving way to rain (leading to increased humidity), it will be fun to see what happens to Addie's hair :)
Drawing with Mommy
Addie's pout face because Daddy would not give her a piece of candy before we left the house Wednesday morning. We got about an inch of snow on Wednesday morning (so that is why we needed the winter coats).
Ayson posing with the puzzle he finished all by himself!! He was so surprised that he completed it on his own. The day before, he was not having a very good "patience" day and the puzzle was left unfinished on the floor.
The sun came back out to warm things up on Friday and the kids had fun teeter tottering with Gianna and playing at the park.
Grandpa Chuck came out for a visit on Saturday (he also dropped off Easter baskets :)
Grandpa helped Mommy and the kiddos color eggs. We used brown and white eggs and Mommy liked the final color of the brown eggs the best (they were darker in color).
Grandpa taking a walk around the yard with Ayson and Addie.
Saturday late afternoon, Gianna stopped by with Easter cupcakes that Gianna and her Mom had made. The kids loved the frosting while Mommy loved the cake the best:) Thanks Jo and G!
Ayson also enjoyed the Easter bunny peep.
Daddy gave Mommy a bit of a hard time for "copping out" on Easter gifts this year (Mommy and Daddy did not give the kids Easter baskets) but that is because Mommy knew that Grandpa Chuck and Pama AND Grandma Pat and Grandpa Roger had Easter goodies for the kiddos. Mommy was right...the kids had plenty of toys and candy. Also, similar to the "Elf on the Shelf," Mommy explained to the kids that the brown bunnies that the kids got last year as Easter gifts were watching over the kids and reporting back to the Easter bunny on whether the kids were being good...or not.
The kids had fun hunting for the Easter eggs hidden around the house.
Both kids ate WAY too much candy first thing in the morning and were a handful until the afternoon when the sugar wore off :)
