Halloween Party, A visit with Grandpa Chuck, and Birthday Party Fun!

A^4 had a quick week with Daddy away again.  Luckily there were no flat tires, no colds, and no heat issues :)  We did have beautiful weather and fun together and a fun filled weekend.

Hi Baby Doll!

Pretty sunrise on the way to work for Mommy!

Ayson reading to Addie Wednesday night.

Friday evening was the Optimists Club Halloween party at the elementary school.
Mommy kept telling Ayson (dressed as a Minecraft Enderman) to smile...hahaha.  Mommy made Ayson's costume in three nights (which was a last weekend change from Dog Man the hero in the story above).  Thankfully we had lots of cardboard boxes, construction paper, and packing tape around the house :)

Both Addie and Leena dressed as leopards :)

Game time!

Daddy surprised us by coming home early and showing up at the Halloween Party.  YAY!
Ayson walked in the costume contest parade.

Addie and Gabby.  Gabby dressed as Medusa and had snakes in her hair!  Great costume, Gabby!!!!

Mikhan, Addie, and Ella

The kiddos received loads of candy, donuts, and apple cider!  Thanks to the Optimists and the elementary school!!!

Ayson dressed in a hot dog costume while shopping with Daddy Saturday morning :)

Grandpa visited on Saturday and he brought Halloween goodies for the kiddos.  Thanks, Grandpa!

Daddy and Grandpa having fun in the kitchen - meaning they were picking on each other relentlessly :)

Saturday was a beautiful day and a cold front rolled in Saturday afternoon bringing the rain and cool clouds.

Mommy found a surprise in the mail box - a Happy Halloween card from Neighbors Gianna, Jo, and Dave!  Thanks so much!!!

Just like kids, adults (well boys, since they both had some wine by this point) have a hard time focusing for a picture - sigh.

On Sunday, the kiddos attended Carter Cool's (such an awesome last name :) birthday party at Springside Farms http://www.springsidefarm.net/post.php?pid=11
Even though it was raining, the kids had a BLAST!
Pedal car races

Yes, everyone had a wet butt

Muddy butts too

Check out the snake!

Hay bale fun!  Mommy remembers playing in Grandpa and Grandma Belinski's hay barn and the hay bale mazes and tunnels :)

Pratts Falls, Pumpkins, and a Grape Pie!

A^4 had a great week and weekend and we hope everyone is happy and healthy.  We have so much to be thankful for and we try not to take the little moments for granted.  We squeezes as much playtime out of the weekend as possible with the crazy warm weather that we had (70s both days!!) WHAT?!?!

Cats and kids LOVE boxes!
Ayson busted the seam trying to squeeze in this box :)

Addie requested straight hair (Mommy's was straight too), so Mommy straightened Addie's hair on Tuesday evening.

So long!

On Friday, Mommy went to Neighbor Donna's house for a get together with friends.  We had fun catching up, drinking wine, and playing games!  Thanks, Donna!

We had unbelievable weather for the 3rd weekend in October so we took advantage and went for a hike at Pratts Falls on Saturday.

We had fun spreading milkweed seeds :)

Somebody forgot his hat - he had sunscreen on his nose and cheeks but not his forehead!  Luckily, there was no noticeable sun burn.
Mommy loves this picture of Ayson :)

Addie spotted a cool mushroom.

We carved our pumpkins this weekend!

Pumpkin goo!

We prepped the pumpkins on Saturday so that our Sunday carving would be a breeze.  This is the first time Mommy has carved pumpkins on the back porch (and in a T-shirt!!)

Grape pie. Yum!!  Mommy made the filling and Daddy cooked the pie!

The kids decided to make puppies out of cardboard boxes.

Ayson and Addie drew their faces on the pumpkins and Daddy and Mommy carved them.

Mommy had a hard time convincing Addie to make the kitty face bigger. She drew a spider and a web on the side of the pumpkin too.

A little bit of yard cleanup!

One last S'mores for the season.  It was almost too warm to sit by the fire.

The pumpkins!!!

A close-up of Addie's kitty pumpkin with the spider and spider web.

Addie wanted a picture with her pumpkin.  Look, her curls are back :)

Grandpa Roger's 77th birthday is on Tuesday and the kiddos made cards wishing him a GREAT birthday!  Grandpa received the cards and even sent us a picture! We hope you have a fantastic birthday week, Grandpa Roger!!!!
