Dinner Date with Ms Annie and Mr Bob and Fun with Grandma Pat and Grandpa Roger

A busy week with Daddy away for work BUT all is well (no colds, no water pipe issues, no car issues, and no snow [yet] to worry about ;)  Daddy ended up getting stuck in FL so he ended up spending Saturday and Sunday with Grandma Pat and Grandpa Roger.  Mommy and the kiddos did some gallivanting on Saturday and then had a dinner date with Ms Annie and Mr Bob.

The moon on Monday morning!

Addie securing her pony to the car - don't tell the humane society!

Hi Mason and Ayson!!!

Pretty sunrise Thursday morning

Daddy was gone all week (don't feel too bad for him, he was in Pensacola FL) and his flight was canceled twice due to the Nor'easter.
The family had a date with Ms Annie and Mr Bob on Saturday.  Mommy was to bring wine and Daddy was to make Utica greens -  Mommy and the kiddos were going with or without Daddy :).  Mommy debated going to the store to get the ingredients and realized that we also needed items for school that could put us really close to the restaurant, Basil Leaf, that introduced Daddy to Utica greens.  So we planned our school shopping around the lunch time hours of Basil Leaf :) :)

The kiddos frosting cookies with Ms Annie

Lots of fun sprinkles too!

Then it was time to decorate the Christmas tree!

After a yummy dinner, Ms Annie gave the kiddos gifts!!! A pretty glass ornament for Addie

Ayson received a set of three elves that are JUST like the ones that Ms Annie has in her house :)  Thank you, Annie and Bob!!!!

Meanwhile, since Daddy's flight was not leaving until Sunday afternoon, he spent the weekend with Grandma Pat, Grandpa Roger, Aunt Shirley, and Uncle Al!!!  Thanks, Mom and Dad!!!!

So Pretty!

Last Tuesday afternoon, Mommy gave a presentation to the 3rd grade Lego Cub on clean water, the Great Lakes, Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) systems, and microplastics...OH MY!
The kids LOVED Mommy's homemade CSO pipe complete with "floaties" to show what happens during storm events.  Where do you think stuff goes during heavy rain events?!?

Happy Birthday, Daddy!!!

For some reason, Mommy and Daddy did not take any pictures Monday through Friday but we made up for it on Saturday and Sunday!  Friday was Daddy's birthday.  Happy Birthday, Daddy, we love you tons!!!!  Daddy did not want a cake-just extra chicken wings...hahaha.

We picked out our tree on Saturday at Luchsinger's.

Hunting for the perfect tree-indoors.

Erin is great (and only a 10 min ride away)!  She gives the kiddos little trees to decorate.  The kids spent more time on their own trees than helping decorate the family tree!

YAY!

Saturday night sunset!!!

We are so thankful that we have this view!

Sunday was not too shabby either!  With temps in the upper 40s, we went for a walk in the orchard

Checking out the bees. Many of the hives had bees flying around the outside of the hives.

Success!

Nothing like stomping through mud puddles :)

Beautiful afternoon in NY!

SO what do a bunch of 40 year olds do for a "good time" on a Friday night?  We sit around talking, drinking, and measuring our blood pressure, then go to bed by 10 pm-hahahahaha.

Mommy's was the lowest.  Notice how Mommy strategically cut out all of the wine/drink glasses :)

Has to be all of the yoga that Mommy does :)

Where Did the Week (and weekend) GO?!?

Mommy and the kiddos made it through the week with Daddy gone.  No real pictures to speak of for the week except of the kiddos trying to catch snow flakes on their tongues:)  We are thankful that we are ALL happy and healthy (just minor colds) AND that Daddy is home :)  :)

Catching snowflakes while waiting for the bus.

On Saturday afternoon, Daddy and Ayson went out hunting in the orchard - no pics and no deer BUT they did see other members of the Game Club and Daddy had a good time chatting.

Meanwhile, Mommy and Addie were playing the Three Little Pigs story that Addie made:)

THIS Old Lady was a fun story-she even ate a POT!

Experiments with matter in Ayson's class :)

Ayson's finished story from the life of Daddy:

On Sunday, Addie attended her friend Andrea's birthday party!  WHAT fun!  Tons of food, friends, AND Bouncy Houses!!!!
