A Fun February Week with Friends

A fun week for A^ with a dinner date on Monday, a visit with Ms Annie and Cub Scouts on Wednesday, a Cub Scouts sledding event on Saturday, and a great day at home on Sunday with a walk in the orchard in the afternoon.  We finished the book, "Adventures of a South Pole Pig":)  Suc a cute book!!!!  We hope everyone is healthy and enjoying the weather (be it cold OR warm ;)

On Monday, the girls had a date night with Ms Linda!   Red Robin while the boys went to 5 Guys :)

On Wednesday, Ms Annie stopped by to pass on a few treasures to the kiddos: dolls, a golden kitty figurine, kitty plates, and a journal :)  Thanks, Ms Annie!!!

A 100 day project from Addie :)

I was asked to give my wildlife presentation to the other two 3rd grade classes so last Thursday I went back to school and not to Ayson or Addie's class:)

A Valentine  project from Ayson (outside the classrooms)

Saturday was the cardboard box sled building contest for Cub Scouts - too bad we did not have any snow!!
Ayson's Pack's finished sled

The still judged the sleds: most spirit, fastest looking, slowest looking...hahaha

The boys also played games

Adam volunteered to run the ring toss activity

Grandpa Chuck and Pama sent the kiddos Valentines cards and gifts of money!  Thanks, Grandpa and Pama!!!

Addie lost TWO teeth on Saturday night!!!  Blah, those teeth were hanging on by threads and were twisted in her mouth - so gross!!!

All of us playing Baby Shark Saturday night :)

Sunday afternoon walk to the creek.  Adam with a huge section of Sycamore bark.

The did not get water over their boots too bad this time!

It is hard to see here, but there is a slight downward slope and Ayson kept sliding so he held on to Adam's leg...Ayson almost took both of them out!

Unexpected Trip to the MOST and Weekend Camping

TONS of pictures this week because there was no school due to extreme cold temps/windchill on Thursday and the kids were able to go to the MOST with Adam AND then a weekend camping trip for the boys for Cub Scouts.  We hope everyone is happy and healthy AND warm!!!!

Ayson aced the pre-test for spelling on Monday so he did not have to take the test again on Friday: Great job, Big Guy!!

A note to Ayson from his friend Grady :)

More coding fun!

Finishing the cardboard sled in cub scouts Wednesday night.

The meetings take place at the Fire Department.

There was no school on Thursday due to the extreme cold (wind chill) AND it just so happened that Ayson won tickets to the MOST that needed to be used by Thursday so Adam took the kids and they had a BLAST!!!

Addie's class had Groundhogs Day cupcakes from Mrs Terrell on Friday :)

Ayson (and Adam) had a weekend camping event at Highland Forest  (a favorite sledding spot for us!)  We also need to explore more of the trails!!!

I went ice fishing with Ayson while Adam took Addie sledding.

Walking out on to DeRuyter Reservoir.

The ice was 15 inches thick on Saturday!!!

The boys were pretty patient and one Dad did catch a chain pickerel about 12 inches long!

Meanwhile, Addie and Adam and the HUGE sledding hill:
Hi Addie!

Sigh...
