Snow Fun

A quick week with a snow day on Friday with skiing, a Saturday play date for the girls, and a weekend of camping for the boys.  We hope that everyone is staying healthy and getting outside!

Microscope fun on Monday night!  we looked at hair: Addie's Ayson's, and Shadows :)  Then we looked at fish tank water and the slime on the water filter in the fish tank :)

Friday was a snow day and we went skiing on Friday afternoon.  Even Amy went skiing so that Addie could conquer the chair left!  Success!  Once she was used to the chair lift, Amy could not keep up with Addie.



Friday night through Sunday was winter camping at Highland Forest for the Scouts. 
Amy and Addie joined for sledding but then we had a girls date with friends and spent the afternoon playing and sledding on a tamer hill :)

A week and weekend filled with fun!  We hope that everyone is happy and healthy.  We have been fighting colds but keep on moving :) 

Addie had the correct answer for the book chapter question AND her answer was selected!  She had spotted this rabbit the FIRST day of the One Book Reading and she hoped that no one else would pick it :)  Yay, Addie!

Friday night ski lessons!  Both kids have figured out snow plow, "s" curves, and stopping.  Now we just need to get Addie over her fear of the chair lift

Saturday was the Scout Snow Box Derby - last year's event was a bust due to a lack of snow.  THIS year did not disappoint.

We finished off the day with an ice skating birthday party for TWO friends! We all had a blast on the ice.

Fun Times with Family all Week Long!

A week of reading "Kenny the Dragon" and card games followed by a visit with Grandpa Chuck and Pama on Saturday and a long hike on Sunday!  We hope that all of our family and friends are staying healthy this January and are able to get out and enjoy the snow!

Uno on Tuesday night:)  The Uno game on Wednesday night lasted over TWO hours!  We think there may have been some player "operator" error :)

The Game of Life on Thursday night was our 2nd choice - NO MORE Uno!


Skiing at Song Mountain on Friday.  No official lesson but the kids did work on their snow plowing and "s" curves :)


Addie did GREAT!


Ugh, at one point Amy heard "Mumma!" and looked around and found Ayson waving while going up the chair lift with a friend.  He did a great job of slowly making it down the hill without losing control:)


And he got right back in line to go on the chair lift again:)

On Saturday afternoon, we spent the afternoon with Grandpa Chuck, Pama, Auntie Julie, Uncle Dan, and the cousins.  We spent the afternoon chitchatting and eating :)  Will post a picture shortly!

We hiked the western side of Labrador Pond on Sunday.   Lots of uphill and swithback until we got to the top:)
