Our Little Summer

A^4 is doing well and enjoying summer.  It almost seems unfair knowing that our summer is so completely out of step with the turmoil in the United States and the World: pandemic, unemployment, racial injustice, natural disasters, sick family members.  We are sending thoughts of empathy and peace to all human beings.  Not certain exactly when everything became "us" vs "them" but as human beings, we are all in this world together and just trying to do the best for our families.

Plenty of toys and yet cardboard is still THE best!  sigh.

Harvest Time, Deck Progress, and Off to College, Oh My!

A great week weather wise and we harvested more corn, tomatoes, basil, and carrots from our garden.  Adam also made GREAT progress on the deck.  Last but not least, we said goodbye to Gianna as she heads off to college - crazy how fast time has flown....Gianna was so little when we moved in :)  Good luck and have fun, Gianna!

We said goodbye to Gianna as she leaves for college on Monday.  Have fun Gi!  We are going to miss you!!!  Our pictures turned our sort of blurry due to the low light BUT that does not take away from our memories!!!

Mid August Fun at Home

Light on kid pictures this week but not light on the work!  Adam made great progress on our pool deck and the gardens are doing amazing!  Fresh cucumbers, peppers, tomatoes, basil, corn, and peppers from the garden!  We hope that everyone is doing well and we are sending good thoughts to our family and friends!!!

Husking corn!  Amy picked about half the corn from our stalks and we ended up with 28 ears of corn ready to eat and freeze.

Some of our pumpkins are ready!!!!  Their vines were dead, stalks were brown and hard, and their skins were hard.  Pumpkin pie will be in the near future :)
