Fabulous Fall Week

A busy week with Adam away at a meeting, a football game, an evening with friends for the kiddos, and fun activities on the weekend.  We hope our family and friends are doing well and enjoying fun fall weather!

Gorgeous leaves on a blueberry bush

Home football game - the temps got chilly and the game was called right before it got too hard to see (no lights at our field).

During halftime, Addie and Amy walked around the high school memorial gardens.

On Wednesday, the kids went to Annie and Bob's for dinner and a visit while Amy was at a meeting.
Hanging with friends:)

Amy went kayaking Friday early evening with 2 friends at Labrador Pond - GORGEOUS!!!

On Saturday, A^4 went to Annie and Bob's for a walk and then dinner.  We had such a fun and relaxing visit!!!  Thank you, Annie and Bob!!!!

Nature's color contrasts were on point!!!

The kiddos had fun walking around and goofing off :)

The boys look so cute:)

WHAT is this?!??!?!  Amy is glad that she has photo documentation!

Adam made parmesan lollypops for our multi-course meal - yum!  We had SO much good food!!!  Thanks for a wonderful visit, Annie and Bob!

Ayson received some "fan" mail:)

On Sunday, Ayson worked on another life size paper mache project.

Addie was in charge of feeding the chimenea fire :)

Fun Filled Week and Weekend

A fun week with a visit to a friend's house, girl scouts, football, a visit with Grandma Collene and Mike, AND Apple Fest weekend!  We hope all of our family and friends are doing well and staying healthy!!

On Wednesday, Addie and Amy went to our friends house to pick up fresh eggs and more garlic.  We also had fun looking at the Guinea hens and chickens and catching up with our friends :)

Hmm, wonder if the cat thinks he can "take" the Guinea hens :)

Guinea hen eggs have thicker shells than chicken eggs and are harder to crack open!

Apple Festival weekend!
Grandma Collene and Mike visited Friday evening and went to the Festival on Saturday.  We had fun together Friday night watching Ayson play a flight simulator game that had Ayson flying (and crashing) over our house and Grandma Collene's house:)

Addie on a ride with friends.  Amy was just super happy that she did not have to get on a ride!

Ayson and his friends :)

The kids waiting in line: Addie wanted to go on the Spider ride one last time and Ayson agreed to go with her (no single riders allowed).

Face painting!

Ayson worked at the football booth making cotton candy for 2 hours on Saturday afternoon.

Saturday evening Addie went to a birthday party and this sunny was blooming at the birthday girl's house :)

The Festival had fireworks on Saturday night and we had an impromptu gathering to watch the fireworks from our house before Ayson went to a friend house for the night and then to a Retro Video Game Convention on Sunday with his friend Graham.

More face painting on Sunday:)

Rainy Weather and Saturday Galivant

It was a busy rainy weather week with work meetings, practices, and football.  Over the weekend, we went galivanting in Syracuse and caught up on chores during the dry (for once) weekend.  We hope all of our family and friends are doing well and enjoying fall!

And, it rained during Ayson's football game on Tuesday afternoon.

Ayson is # 81 (he is looking at the camera)

Ayson bought an old school game and the boys had fun playing together.

Gorgeous sunset Friday night!!

On Saturday we went galivanting in Syracuse with early morning hair cuts for the boys and a trip to Target for the girls.  Afterwards, we went to Stella's for breakfast AND we ran in to our neighbor's Rick and Denise who were meeting people there for breakfast :)
Afterwards, we went to the Regional Market and picked up garlic and a yummy rum cake.
Picture of the Amy and the kiddos walking through the market sheds.

We even made a stop at a pet store and Amy teased the family that she wanted another orange kitty.  While Amy was looking for gecko supplies, she spotted Adam and the kids looking at the cats available for adoption (no one can resist looking at the cats/kittens:).  We did NOT adopt another four legged family member.

Saturday afternoon, we planted garlic and saffron crocus bulbs.  We read an article about Vermont farmers growing saffron crocus bulbs in a magazine that Ms Annie passed along to us and we decided to order our own and see what what happens.

Ayson exhausted after pulling out the corn stalks, helping Adam with the pool winterizing and cleaning the wood stove chimney...but Ayson has ALL the energy for football practice.

We all LOVED the rum cake and we may just have to try and make our own cake :)

Addie and Amy are each reading the book The Girl Who Drank the Moon.  Auntie Holly gave us a copy when Ayson was entering 5th grade :)  It has been fund to read the book together and talk about our favorite parts such as when the Bog monster gets turned into a cute bunny OR the paper birds turn into real birds, or the stone that opens up into a door at a castle :)
