Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween!!  The kids had a good night of trick or treating and visiting with friends.  We hope our family and friends are happy and healthy!

The elementary school parade was outside this year!

Mrs Anthony came to our house this year to give the kiddos candy AND so we could see their new puppy, Boone, in his adorable bee costume.

It wasn't until later that Amy noticed that both cats are in the window WATCHING Boone :)  Thunder is near Addie's hip.  Amy is in the picture too!

A visit to Ms Annie and Mr Bob's house for candy and a picture!

We went to Tully so the kiddos could go door to door trick or treating:)

A VERY cool display right near main street.

A snake candy shoot!

Addie's pumpkin - the same design as last year.

Ayson' vomiting pumpkin :)

Amy and Addie have been reading a book together that Auntie Holly gave to us when Ayson was starting 5th grade, "The Girl Who Drank The Moon," by Kelly Barnhill.  We both loved the book and it was fun to talk about the book and what scenes we liked best - the paper birds and Glerk were Amy's favorite while Addie loved Luna :)

The weather has been crazily dry and warm so there has been plenty of milkweed seed spreading!

Addie had her first ice skating lesson on Saturday morning and she did GREAT!  She already has more confidence in her skating then last March at the end of the ice skating season.

With temps in the 70s, Amy and Addie went to the "Big Park" for the afternoon.

Wakon was able to come to the park too and the girls had fun!

On Sunday, we all had appointments to get flu shots and all but Addie received a COVID booster.  Addie will need a child dose for her COVID booster.

Outside fun until the rain arrived

It was cool to watch the rain roll in AND to see the kiddos run (bottom of the photo).

Goodbye October!

We have had amazing weather in October with beautiful fall days!  We had a great weekend with friends and hope that our family and friends are doing well!!!

Playtime after dinner

Archery practice

Kayaking Thursday afternoon.  Amy is trying to squeeze in as many kayaking excursions as possible while the weather stays warm.

Thunder lounging while Amy was working.

Frosty Friday morning

We have saffron crocus blooming!!

Friday evening was the Optimist Halloween party at Stafford Park.  Adam and Ayson went early to help prep the party and Amy and Addie arrived later to join in the fun.

The ghost on the haunted trail.

After the Optimist party, Addie had a friend spend the night.  Addie's friend REALLY wants Addie to spend the night at her house but Addie is not interested in sleep overs at someone else's house.  So the girls had fun at our house!

Ayson getting a few chores done before he headed off to a birthday party on Saturday.

Ayson's friend had SIX kittens at his house (he is keeping 2 and looking for homes for the others).  The boys had fun playing with the kittens.  Amy told Ayson that if there was an orange male kitten that Amy wanted Ayson to bring it home :)  Too cute!!

Pumpkin carving time!  We used pumpkins from our garden again this year!

A bat and a cat!

On Sunday, Mr Bob came over to help Adam with wiring for the oven (we MAY have an oven soon!!!!).  Ms Annie also stopped by for a visit and we had a great time chatting and eating :)  Thanks for a wonderful visit!!!

Addie feeding Sage with an audience.

Homemade pizza with friends :)

It was a great weekend for getting chores done around the house and yard!!

October Outside

A busy week for the kids with 2 football games, band practice, a cross county race, girl scouts, and amazing weekend days!  We hope our family and friends are happy and healthy!

Gorgeous snap dragons that are still blooming

Ayson's last football game for the year.  He really enjoyed the practices and games!

The 5th and 6th grade girls getting ready for the 1 mile race.

Addie came in 2nd place for the girls race!!  She was in the lead for the majority of the race and then a long-legged 6th grader passed her near the end.  Great job, Addie!!!

Ms Annie came to watch and cheer Addie on.  Ms Annie's daughter was also in track :)

Addie receiving her 2nd place metal.

Winners for the girls: Brielle, Addie, and Elise (Addie's friend)

The boy and girl winner together :)

Saturday and Sunday were incredible fall days!
Saturday sunset

Ayson hurt his big toe (the nail will probably fall off) on Friday at school and he was not able to play in the Saturday football game.  He did go to the game to cheer his team on:)
This is what Ayson did ALL weekend due to his toe.

Flowers still blooming

We LOVE to spread milkweed seeds:)

Addie raked a pile of leaves to jump in - over and over and over again:)
