Happy Birthday, Addie!!

Happy 11th Birthday, Addie!!!  We love you so much and enjoy watching you become a thoughtful and caring young person!  Your family and friends love you SO much!!

The kids had Monday off for an Administrator's Work Day and THEN the kids had Tuesday off due to a snow storm:)  The kids were vey happy!

For Addie's birthday family activity, she wanted to go to Wonder Works at Destiny USA (the "big" mall).  So we went early on Saturday and had a GREAT time!  (Ayson's family activity will occur next week/weekend - bowling!)

After a lunch that included a drink with gummy worms for Addie (her favorite), we braved the Canyon Climb!  Adam is no longer fond of walking on narrow platforms high above, so he stopped early and took pictures of us having fun.

Both Addie and Adam had "hot" feet so they walked on the snowy driveway.  Silly people!

Unfortunately, both kiddos were sick during the week and each child missed two days of school.  Luckily, Ayson was feeling better on his actual birth date.

Shadow was happy to have Ayson home on Monday and Tuesday!

Ayson now has a fully functioning cell phone with his own cell phone number :)  He was so excited to call us from his new number :)

Addie completed another session of skating lessons and has advanced to the next level (will start again next November).  Until then, we will try to skate during the rest of the weekends in March before the rinks closes for the season.

On Saturday, Grandma Collene and Mike stopped by for a visit.  Adam cooked steaks and Ayson asked to learn how to cook his own steak in a cast iron skillet on the wood stove in the Boys room.

Ayson received an award for his artwork this semester and his artwork is on display at the LaFayette Library - Congratulations, Ayson!!!!

Amy checked the library website and found the artwork from the high school!!!!  Lafayette library  Ayson created a digital drawing of his favorite dog from his video games.  Ayson's artwork is in the 3rd column and 3rd row :)  What a great surprise and great job, Big Guy!!!

 

Hello, March!

The kids made it through their first week of school (after being off for a week) - yay!  We can't believe that it is already March BUT the kiddos are excited since it is their birthday Month!!!  We hope tour family and friends are doing well and staying healthy!!!

The cats turned FOUR years old on March 1 (their estimated birthday).  We gave them extra cat treats but no new toys (Addie was not pleased).

Addie snapped a great picture of Venus and Jupiter on Wednesday evening!  

Saturday was busy for Addie with ice skating lessons, girl scout cookie sales, and a visit with friends on Saturday morning and early afternoon while the boys were hauling fire wood from Ms Annie's and Mr Bob's property (no pictures).

Amy and Addie took a walk in the orchard Saturday afternoon to listen to the "spring" birds (redwing blackbirds).

On Sunday, Amy and Addie went skating (before the end of the season at the end of March) and we were the ONLY skaters on the rink for the first 8-10 minutes.  Addie LOVES to skate on fresh ice, so we made sure to get there right when the rink opened and could not believe we were so lucky :)  We had a great time and skated for TWO hours!!  

The blog would not be complete without Ayson!  Unfortunately, he has the beginnings of a sore throat 

:(  But Amy did get him to smile :)
