Summer Fun

How is it already the middle of JULY??!?  We hope our family and friends are doing well and enjoying summer!!  We have been busy in the gardens and playing in the pool and yard.

The gardens are looking gorgeous!

While picking red raspberries, Amy noticed ants carrying eggs and all walking in a row.  The ants were transporting their nest from one end of the yard to the other end!  Amy had never seen that before!

There are so many raspberries this year!

Adam and the kids pulled the garlic - 75 bulbs!!

A bird was in the gutter making a ruckus and Shadow had to get a closer look.

More pool time with family and friends!  Making a whirlpool.

Who wants to play???

The Rest of the Holiday Week/Weekend

The rest of the holiday week/weekend was spent outside in the pool and in the gardens.  We hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July holiday!

Amy posted the blog the afternoon of July 4th.  Later that afternoon, our friends came over to swim and we had vanilla ice cream with blueberries and red raspberries - a 4th of July dessert!

Amy and Kate chilled on Friday night with Kate's chickens. The cochins are SO cute with feathers on their feet :)

Addie's chicken, Gusty.

Chilling with the chickens!

Adam is working on the kitchen/dining room and the boys put 2 army men into the new wall that Adam built (to replace the shelving in the dinning room near the front door).

Addie's friend came over and the girls were either building each other characters in a game or outside...

SWIMMING!  They swam three times for over a total of 6 hours!!!

Happy Independence Day!

Happy 4th of July!  We hope everyone is having a wonderful summer and enjoying time with family and friends!!  We had a very long weekend over the 4th and had fun at a waterfall and of course the pool :)

Ayson got Amy an amaryllis for Christmas 2 years ago.  Amy put the bulb in the ground last summer and then forgot about it (she was supposed to dig it up in the fall).  The bulb survived the winter and is now blooming :)

Mrs Oliver stopped by on Friday to show us her baby chicks (meat chickens).
LOOK at Ayson's smile :)

Too cute!!

The kiddos and baby chicks.

Mrs Oliver.  Her granddaughter are visiting in July and Mrs Oliver wanted them to experience chickens!

On Sunday, we went to Taughannock Falls State Park in Ithaca.

Ayson and Amy contemplating how deep the water is...

Only Amy got up to her waist - there was another level of rock until the bottom but Amy did not want to get THAT wet.

Not THAT old...

On the way home, Ayson wanted to stop at thrift stores to look for old electronic games.  He found an Atari in great condition and was so excited!!!

We also stopped at an Asian store and we found tapioca pearls - so we could make "bubble tea" at home!  The kids loved their teas!!!

This is what the rest of our holiday looked like:)

Thunder being cute!
