School Open Houses and Football

We hope that everyone is enjoying fall and staying healthy!!!  A busy week with school open houses and a football game.  Both kiddos ended up sick by the end of the week and weekend but luckily it was just a short lived cold!

Addie had ordered another custom made toy and she had been waiting FOUR weeks - two weeks for it to be made and another 2 weeks to ship from Russia.  She was so excited when her spotted weasel dragon arrived early.

Yay!

Tuesday was open house for the 6th grade and we were able to meet all of Addie's teachers, write her a note, and stick the note in her locker.

On Wednesday evening, Ayson had his first football game of the season and he did really well, had a great time, AND his team won!

Ayson is #63

During the football game, Addie and Kinley ran around and played

Silly Thunder!

The game must have wiped Ayson out as he was home Thursday and Friday with a cold...sitting with Shadow.  Addie ended up getting sick on Saturday - poor kiddos!

Amy and Kate went kayaking on Friday night - the LAST day of summer (Fall officially started on Saturday - a fellow kayaker told us :)

A great spangled fritillary :)

Gorgeous zinnias

There were SO many bees on the blooming sedum!!!

Amazing layers

The intricacy of the flowers is incredible!

The picture was taken at an angle to highlight the ring of white/purple at the base of the petals.

Hello Fall!

We hope that our family and friends are enjoying the gorgeous fall weather!  Amy was in Green Bay WI and Adam and the kids had a full week of work and school.

Kayaking at Labrador Pond Saturday morning in the fog.

So cool!

Ayson wanted GOOD food on Saturday but nothing that we currently had sounded good to HIM...so Ayson looked up a recipe for "easy" French onion soup and he made it!

We did not have Gruyère cheese but he improvised with what we had - Monterey Jack and grated parmesan.  The below picture is not worthy as the soup was amazing!

Addie walking up to Special Agent Cooper at Ms Annie and Mr Bob's house.  Cooper had wounded a small bunny - Addie was not pleased.  BUT Addie also wanted to see what Cooper left (of the carcass) after he was done playing and then eating his prey.

Ayson made a camping shower :)

Addie testing the shower out.

Check out Ayson's smile :)

More flowers pictures!!

We have milkweed on the move!

Sunnies and a busy bee.
