We Have SNOW!

We hope everyone had a great first week of 2024!  It was hard for all of us to go to bed early for school/work (and actually sleep) after being off for over a week.  At least it was a short week filled with smores, squirrel, and SNOW!

Ayson still makes toaster oven smores when he comes home from school.

Nutella for the win!

A squirrel with a walnut trying to figure out a way into the house - Thunder was on it!

We finally got snow Saturday evening and woke up to ~7 inches Sunday morning!!  The kiddos could not wait to go outside.

Since we did not have much snow last year after Christmas, this is the first year we were able to use the "snowman" kit to dress up our snowman - Thanks Annie and Bob!

The kiddos brought snacks outside - in addition to eating snow.

Both kiddos created a sledding ramp - hope the snow stays so they can use the ramps next week!

Happy Near Year!

Happy New Year to our family and friends!  We are sending everyone thoughts of health and happiness for 2024!

On Christmas day afternoon, we went for a hike at Tracy Lake.

The kids had fun finding big sections of ice and throwing it on the water.

On Tuesday, Grandma Collene and Mike visited

Ayson had fun playing with friends

Amy and the kids watched the movie "The Hunger Games" and Amy and Addie also watched "Barbie" while the boys watched "Oppenheimer"

On Friday afternoon, we went to Grandpa Chuck and Marie's house to celebrate Christmas with them and Auntie Julie, Uncle Dan, and the cousins.

The big boys watched the movie "O Brother" while the kiddos played hide and seek.

Addie and Amy played a board game with our friend Kate on Saturday night.

For New Year's Eve, we went to a friend's house.  They had fun games everyone and SO much food!

Adam's turn

Ayson and a friend tried the candy cane hook game - of course the boys used their heads to push the other player away from the candy canes.

Addie wanted to play the game BUT only with Mumma!

While the parents were upstairs talking, the kiddos hung out in the basement.

Getting ready to ring in the new year - we managed to stay awake and at the party until 12:30!!

Ayson got dirty playing hide and seek outside - in the dark- with his friends.  He only wore his Crocks and his feet were SO dirty!!

Happy New Year!!!

After we slept in on New Years Day, we went for an afternoon hike at Clark Reservation State Park (Addie picked the location).  It was a perfect day for a hike!
