Poker and Puppies

We hope everyone is staying warm with the cold temps!  We had a fun week of afternoon walks with the puppies and card games in the evenings.

Silly puppies!

On Saturday, Leena invited Addie and Amy on a lunch date for Leena's birthday - we had a great time!  Afterwards, Ashley and Leena (both red heads) got to meet the puppies.

After the lunch outing, we took the puppies for a walk in the orchard and the snow flakes we humungous!

Ayson beat the game Minecraft!!! He has been playing Minecraft since he was 5 and was apprehensive about beating the game. Now that he has completed the game, he said he was going to focus on building his world within Minecraft.

Snow Fun

The kiddos thought it was a GREAT week with a 2 hr delay on Wednesday and a snow day on Thursday.  Adam was out of town for work so Amy and Ayson were in charge of the puppies - Addie was a big help too.  The puppies did great sleeping through the night and let us know when they wanted to go out (most of the time) by standing near the sliding glass door. We hope everyone is doing well and staying healthy!!!

Before the bus arrived, Ayson shoveled a little path so the kids could get on the bus without getting their shoes wet.  FOR THE RECORD, both kids have boots and coats. However, they wore crocks (with holes) and a pair a canvas "grandpa shoes" paired with sweatshirts to school...sigh.

The puppies rolled in pee puddles in the Boys Room Thursday morning so the kiddos gave the puppies a bath.

After the puppies were dry Thursday afternoon, we took the puppies to the park for fun in the snow.

Adam was away for work Tuesday through Friday early afternoon.  The puppies were SO excited to see Adam when he got home :)

Kate and this kiddos came over for a visit on Friday night for some puppy time and the kids played video games while the puppies napped.

Every winter, we bring inside our potted jasmine plant and this is at least the 2nd year it has bloomed in the winter.

On Sunday, Amy and Addie went ice skating.  The rink was empty when we arrived and soon filled up with kiddos and adults having fun going around in circles...hahaha.

Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year!!  We hope our family and friends are off to a great start for 2025!  We had visits with family and friends and the puppies received plenty of attention.  The puppies are getting SO big (and heavy)!  

It is funny to watch the puppies stick their heads through the cat doors (Amy will try to get a picture).

On Tuesday, we spent the morning with Grandma Collene and Mike.  Grandma gave Ayson a gun that used to belong to Grandpa Bob.

Tuesday afternoon, Grandpa Chuck and Marie came out for a visit but Amy did not take any pictures. 

It was nice to catch up with everyone!!!

Due to the puppy pee schedule around 3 am each morning, we all went to bed early on New Years Eve and had a low key start to 2025.

Ayson opened a time capsule that he created in October 2019.

Inside the 2 boxes he had odd and ends, a picture of himself, a motor to a toy, random toy parts, and a bow tie from his 2018 Bonny Halloween costume that he made out of cardboard.

On Thursday we went to Tractor Supply so that Addie could spend her gift cards on more Schleich horse and farm sets.

On Saturday, we had Annie and Bob over for tea and cookies AND they got to meet the puppies.

Kate and the kiddos came over Saturday evening.  More fun was had with the puppies and the kids played an online game together.

On Sunday, we took the puppies for a walk in the orchard.  There were a few deep snow drifts that the puppies leaped through.
