We had a busy but enjoyable week with Grandma and Grandpa. On Friday morning, Grandma and Grandpa left, we had fun at an arcade, and then we had friends stay the weekend with us! We are ready to chill BUT we enjoyed being able to spend time with everyone. We hope everyone is enjoying the last days of summer!
On Monday afternoon, we went to Labrador Unique Area and the water was just a trickle since it has been so dry.
Family picture - with Grandpa in the background (sitting on a bench).
Brave Addie sticking her hand under logs in search of frogs :)
But look at that smile! And those nails!!! Addie did the nail designs after she glued the nails on.
The boys chatting.
More frogs
After Tinker falls, we went to the boardwalk.
Pretty sunflowers
Picking tomatoes Tuesday afternoon
On Wednesday, we finally got some much needed rain! So on Wednesday afternoon, we went back to Tinker Falls to check on the water.

And find more frogs, of course.
Looking for salamanders.
Addie creating a side channel for the water to flow.
On Thursday afternoon, we went to Fair Haven Beach State Park so Grandma and Grandpa could check Lake Ontario off their list! It was a gorgeous day - started of overcast and cool and once the sun came it, it was really warm!! We also stopped at a bakery and had huge cinnamon rolls.
Touching Lake Ontario
Grandpa too!
Another photo op.
Addie started to build a castle but then we went for a walk along the pier.
Lake Ontario looking east.
SO many blues!!! After we walked on the pier, the ladies sat on the beach and Addie played in the sand.
The view looking up.
On Friday morning, we said goodbye to Grandma and Grandpa after we walked the dogs and we got ready for a busy Friday!
The kids and Amy went to Apex Entertainment at Destiny USA for a customer appreciation day (through our orthodontist). The kids ended up knowing 2 other families (from our town). While "some" fun was had playing video games, the highlight (per the kiddos) was the bowling (and pizza).
We bowled two rounds!
She is so happy!
Great smile, Big Guy!
On Friday evening, our friends Sunshine and Mikhan arrived to stay the weekend with us. We took the ladies to "pet the pets" at the cat shelter. Note - by Sunday late morning - the two kittens next to Mikhan were adopted!!
Addie was able pet Venus without Venus running away! This lovely lady needs a forever home!
On Sunday morning, we went back to the cat shelter to socialize the cats and help get the shelter ready before people arrived to look at the cats.
Venus has pretty green eyes!
