Pets and Kid Pics

A short week for the kiddos with no school on Veteran's Day. Thank you to our Veteran's for their service!!
Amy went back to work on Thursday and it was good to see everyone! On Friday, Ayson had a field trip to Onondaga Community College with his 10th grade class while Addie came home Friday morning not feeling well.

Monday
Saffron climbed up on the deer head!

The puppies were SO happy to se Adam!

Monday evening was the Cross Country banquet - a tradition for over 30 years where the athletes/families each bring a dish to pass and the coaches give awards to the athletes.

Addie and her friends/classmates.

It snowed on Tuesday but not enough to go sledding. The dogs did have fun!

Off they go!

Addie and the bridge she made in Technology class - it was one of the strongest bridges and could support almost 40 pounds before breaking!

Addie insisted that her cat, Thunder, wanted a picture with the bridge...Thunder look enthused.

Addie eating dry ramen noodles...sigh.

Healthy/Happy and Warm/Dry

We hope our family and friends are doing well, are healthy, and staying positive.  Even though we are currently down to one income, we feel very fortunate to have a warm house (fire wood cut and stacked by the boys last winter), reliable vehicles, and plenty of food (even though the kiddos constantly tell us "there's no food in this house...").

The kids had Tuesday off from school. Ayson milked cows Monday night with a cold and he took it easy on Tuesday.  Amy and Addie went galivanting Tuesday afternoon after Amy made banana bread for the kiddos.

Addie is now in Modified Volleyball and the games started Friday and there are two games planned each week through the middle of December - eek!

Warming up.

Adam finished sanding the floors and before he could seal and finish the floors, ALL of the surfaces of the rooms had to be vacuumed and Amy spent Friday getting rid of the wood dust!

The not so little puppies!

Happy Birthday Puppies!

A glorious start to the week, in terms of weather, ended Friday with high winds and a power outage for two hours on Halloween. Our puppies turned one year old on Wednesday - hard to believe!! We hope our family and friends are staying healthy and getting outside when the sun shines!!

The puppies turned ONE year old on Wednesday!  Happy Birthday!!!

A few roses continue to bloom along with a few lilacs.

On Friday, we had an early dinner of homemade pizza.  Good thing we made dinner early as we lost power for two hours Friday night around 6:30.
Ayson rolled out the dough and put it on the plans.

The puppies "talking" to each other behind Ayson :)

Instead of watching a movie together, we sat together by candle (and screen) light next to each other :)

Last Cross Country Meet and Pumpkin Carving

Addie's last cross county meet for the season was on Wednesday - great job, Addie!  The week was pretty low key with Addie getting sick Thursday and staying home from school on Friday.  Ayson declared he will NOT get sick!   We hope our family and friends stay healthy!!!

We do have a crazy running story to share: while warming up before the meet on Wednesday, Addie was running with two friends in the wooded section of the running course.  A white-tailed deer ran into Addie's friend, Molly, and knocked Molly into a tree.  Luckily Molly only ended up with a few scratches and did not get hurt (Molly got lost during the race last week!)  Crazy!  The girls said the deer was "stinky."

Tuesday was a gorgeous day for a walk with the dogs - our house is waaaay in the background.

We carved pumpkins on Sunday!
