Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all of the human and pet mom's that we love!

A glorious Monday afternoon and evening with the dogs relaxing after we took them for a walk in the orchard.

Our apple trees bloomed last week - the blossoms go by so fast.

On Saturday, Adam and Amy had a lunch date!  We went to one of our favorite Indian restaurants and then we went grocery shopping at Wegmans.  Dinner and grocery shopping used to be our Friday night routine before kiddos :)

Ayson went to Lake Bonaparte with Annie and Bob to help them open up the camp Friday evening through Sunday morning.  In the evenings, Ayson was able to get out on the kayak, they watched movies, and they went out to dinner one of the nights.  Thanks, Annie and Bob!

Ayson gave Amy a hanging basket for Mother's Day

Addie made Amy a card with sunflowers and a turtle :)

Hello May!

We have been enjoying the blooming flowers and trees in between the rain showers.  We are sending good thoughts to our family and friends!

Ayson made a batch of "Grandma's cookies" on Monday afternoon.  The cookies were all gone by Tuesday!  Thanks, Ayson.

Our crab apple tree is making pink "snow"

On Saturday while Ayson was working at the lavender farm, Addie and Amy went to the cat shelter with Neighbor Denise to socialize cats.

The morels are popping up all over the yard.

Too funny- Amy captured Stormi checking out the morel.

Sigh. In addition to dead/dying trees, morels appear to like dog crap...as noted by proximity of crap and morels in our yard.  Note the "aged" example at the top left corner of the picture.

On Sunday evening, we went to Annie and Bob's house for dinner.  Thank you for the enjoyable visit and yummy meal!  A crafty squirrel removed the suet from the feeder while we were eating...too funny.

Spring!!!

We hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the sunshine of spring!

Adam mock lecturing Jett to NOT dig holes in the yard.  You can see the blur that is Jett's wagging tail.

Our crab apple tree is alive with flowers and bees!

Ayson worked at the lavender farm Saturday and Sunday and was catching up on homework Sunday afternoon.

Sunny Days and April Rain and Snow Showers

Adam was in North Carolina for the week and we enjoyed warm temps in NY too (but no 90 degree days!).  We love hearing the spring peepers and seeing the bats.  We hope everyone is enjoying spring!!!!

The weather during the week was gorgeous!  So Addie joined on the gardens walks.

Pretty flowers

It took Stormy no time at all to find the killdeer eggs and even knowing where they were, Amy had a hard time finding them!

Grape vine water

Saturday was gorgeous so we spent lots of time outside.  Ayson worked his first day of the 2026 season at the lavender farm.

It SNOWED Sunday morning but luckily did not stick.

Thunder relaxing in the bottom section of the cat tree - brave kitty at dog nose height.

Back to School

A quick and busy week for the family. Both kiddos commented that teachers did not ease them back in to homework after spring break - lots of studying!
We hope everyone is doing well and enjoying time outdoors in the spring sunshine!

Cuddles with Johnny Jet

After Adam kicked Addie out of his side of the bed on Thursday evening, Addie set up her own spot on the floor (more to rile Adam up than anything...she did not sleep on the floor).

Saturday was gorgeous for yard work!  Addie carting a load of weeds to the orchard.

On Sunday, we took the dogs to the park for more sliding, rides on the merry go round, running, and playing.

Spring Break and Easter

The kids enjoyed their week off from school - even though it rained.  We did explore Labrador Unique Area on Friday and spent Easter dinner with Grandma Collene, Mike, and family.  We are sending good thoughts to all our family and friends!

Addie, Stormy, and Thunder relaxing

Great job, Big Guy!

The 2 and 4 legged kiddos

On Friday, Adam and the kids took the dogs for a walk around the "triangle" and then the puppies (and kids) had fun at the little park.

The family then went to Labrador Unique Area with the goal of seeing Tinker Falls after days of rain.  But first we walked along Tinker Creek towards Labrador Pond.
