This and That

Ayson and Mommy stacking bricks. Ayson still loves to knock tall bricks down rather than building them up:)

Ayson and Daddy adding an ornament on December 8th (Ayson is now 21 Months old!) to the Christmas Tree that Grandma Collene made:)

Ayson: Daddy, I can help you put away the clean dishes!
Ayson also LOVES to sweep the floors and help Mommy put clothes in the drier.

During Ayson's nap on Saturday, we put up the Christmas tree. Ayson was excited to see the tree all lit up when he woke up from his nap! I will post tree pics soon :)

Grandma Collene and Grandpa Ric babysat Ayson Saturday night so that Mommy and Daddy could go on a date :) Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!!

After breakfast on Sunday, Ayson was NOT happy that Mason was sitting on Mommy's lap...so he had to join the party.

Ayson riding his brick like a horsey...giddy up!

Ayson: Daddy, UP! (As in pick me up so that I can see what you are doing in the kitchen...Daddy was making chocolate/ginger Christmas cookies. Yum!)

Playing outside.

Daddy is sad at the lack of snow in our yard. Notice the leaf in Daddy's hand - it has a tiny bit of snow on it...practically the only snow in our yard.

Daddy made Mommy and Ayson pose so that he could get a picture of us with the snow on the mountain in the background.

Ho, Ho, Ho...Merry Christmas

Ayson's vocabulary has been exploding the past month. He now says phrases like "I see you" and "Ho, Ho, Ho...Merry Christmas." His favorite words right now are (still) "no" and "hug." Granted, when he wants up or for us to get him something he will say "hug" because he knows that we can not resist a hug from our little small fry and that we will pick him up for a hug!

Pictures from another walk last week at the park with Mommy.

Ayson seeing Mommy and then the two of them looking at the creek and exploring the path.

On Saturday, we took Ayson to Barber Sam so that Ayson could get a WAY over due hair cut. Afterwards, we went grocery shopping and then to the mall to see what sort of holiday decorations were on display. Ayson had fun riding on the fire truck that moved and made noise.

After Ayson's nap on Saturday, we went to the park and Ayson had fun walking on the snow. There was not much snow to play in but soon enoguh we will have a ton of snow for Ayson to play in!

Mommy helping Ayson down the slide. Ayson: Weeeee!

Ayson was dragging Daddy's big boots around and then decided to try them on for size.

Mommy pulled out Ayson's halloween costume and was goofing around with our little Lion..."meow." Ayson liked the tail on the costume!

On Sunday the weather was warm but windy, Ayson helped Daddy stack wood/kindling in the garage.

Then Daddy gave Ayson a ride. We did not get a picture, but Ayson enjoyed watching the wind blow the leaves around the yard and blow the branches on the tall Norway spruce trees.

Happy Thanksgiving Times Two!

A^3 was lucky enough to enjoy TWO thanksgivings meals with family. On Thursday, we celebrated with Grandma Collene and Grandpa Ric. It was also Kaela's 4th birthday so in addition to pie, we also had cake and ice cream...yum! Then on Saturday, we celebrated Thanksgiving with Grandpa Chuck and Pama.

Ayson had lots of fun hanging out at Grandma and Grandpa's! Ayson and Daddy could not wait for the turkey to be done and started picking at the turkey neck.

Grandma Collene and Lou Lou made us our very own Christmas calendar. As a kid, Daddy and his sister, Julie, used to fight over who would get to put the next decoration on the calendar. Now Daddy and Julie each have their own and our kids will get to fight over who gets to put the next decoration on :)

Mommy, Adrianna, and Ayson :)

Uncle Dan and Daddy had fun rough housing with the boys.

The kids eating birthday cake. Ayson really REALLY enjoyed the cake and ice cream!

Checking out the cows on Friday. Ayson: Mooo!

Ayson getting on his little Indian motorcycle.

Walking around the farm.

On Saturday, we had our second Thanksgiving celebration with Grandpa Chuck and Pama.
Ayson had fun playing with cousins Kaela and Curran AND eating more turkey and birthday cake.

Playing outside.

Another Week of Grandma Time!

Grandma Pat stayed with Mommy and Ayson last week while Daddy was at a meeting in Boston. Grandma was a BIG help to all of us...thanks Grandma!! We all miss Grandma and all that she did for us...Grandma sure does know how to spoil us :)

Ayson giving Mason a hug on Monday. I told Mason that hugs from a toddler were payback for when Mason used to sit on my belly while I was pregnant with Ayson:)

Ayson, Grandma, and Ayson's new tractor (Daddy broke down and bought Ayson a new tractor after Grandma Linda's tractor had to go back to daycare).

Grandma read Ayson bedtime stories every night during her visit. Friday night we had to get a couple of pictures:)

Ayson eating an oatmeal raisin cookie (with chocolate chips) that Grandma made...yum!

Enjoying the gorgeous Saturday before we took Grandma to the airport! We went for a hike at a nearby Nature Center.

Daddy and Ayson checking out the pond. Ayson: What's in the water? Turtles? Frogs?!

Daddy throwing leaves on Ayson. Ayson had a blast playing (and rolling) in the leaves.

Ayson: Peek-a-boo...I see you!

Ayson climbed up a "small" hill to Daddy. I am certain that the hill seemed HUGE to Ayson.

Walking with Grandma on the trail.

Smiles with Mommy.

Ayson: Grandma, I want a HUG!!

Ayson mesmerized by the Christmas songs on youtube Sunday morning.
