Happy Halloween and Thanksgiving too!

We had an uneventful week with no major weather to speak of and we are very thankful for all that we have.  We are sending good thoughts to everyone Sandy touched.

Monday:  Addie sitting with Daddy after dinner.

Mommy was not going to be home on Halloween night (Bruce Springsteen concert :) so she got the kids all dressed up in their costumes Tuesday night.  We dressed Ayson up as his favorite sidekick, Woody (from Toy Story) and Addie was a cute and fuzzy little duckling!

It is pretty easy to get 2 out of 3 people smiling so we make do with what we have...

Mommy loves this picture...Addie is looking at Ayson, Ayson is looking at Daddy, and Daddy is looking at Mommy.

Addie sitting on the floor in the kitchen while Daddy got dinner ready Wednesday night.  Addie looks so tiny in this picture...

Action Ayson shot:  "HI Addie!!"

Mommy had a great time at the concert but she was very glad to be home with the family Thursday night.

Ayson playing with the robot Mommy helped him build...notice the other 2 "kids" in the background :)

Friday night fun in the living room.  Ayson calls it the toy room...true!

A picture of how the house looks so far.  The black felt (around the door at the left of the picture) will be covered in stone work.

We had minor snow flurries both Saturday and Sunday.  You can see the snow on the trees at the top of the mountain.

Daddy was busy in the kitchen on Saturday and Sunday.  He roasted 2 whole chickens (so that we could make pot pie on Sunday) and he made apple stuffing and creamed corn (yum yum!)...a bit of Thanksgiving in early November.  Mommy cuts the pot pie into "Ayson and Addie sized portions,"  vacuum seals, then freezes them so that the kids can have "insta-meals."  Addie tried pot pie for the first time this weekend and not surprisingly, she liked it :)

Ayson wanted to hold Addie on Saturday and then he commented: "Wow, Addie's heavy!"
Yes she is...good girl!

On Sunday Daddy made 3 pot pies, chicken soup (from the carcasses from the whole chickens), and ginger snap cookies.  Ayson helped Daddy roll the cookies in a plate of sugar.

Ayson about to lick the sugar and Daddy about to say "Hey, stop that!"  :)

Still Smiling

The kids have had lingering colds and Ayson had a fever on Tuesday that wiped him out...he actually was sitting still on the couch (not a normal thing for him!).  By Wednesday he was feeling better but now both kids have a "congested" sounding cough and Mommy broke out the humidifiers.  Luckily, both kids are easy going and good natured so the colds have not put too much of a damper on play time.

Monday:
Addie has started to give "gummy" kisses.  Mommy loves to kiss Addie on her neck and jaw because it makes her giggle and now Addie tries to give Mommy kisses too.

Ayson playing with his Buzz Light Year car...he was pretty subdued Monday night, even after Daddy gave him some ibuprofen.

But he was still able to smile for the camera...what a great smile!

Tuesday:
Mommy puts a couple of blankets on the floor for Addie...so that when Addie tips over, she does not hit her head too hard.  Mason also loves the extra softness too!

Ayson slept in on Tuesday until 9 am...that is totally unheard of!  And he took an extra long nap.  Tuesday was just low key and spent playing around the house.

Addie's smiles have evolved to where she now crinkles her nose up when she smiles...such a Baby Doll!

Mason investigating Addie's lunch.

Hmmmm...do I smell cereal and fruit?!

Addie loves to play with Mommy's hair and on Tuesday night she got to play with Daddy's too.

Addie:  "Hmm, Daddy, your hair is just too short!  I suggest that you grow it longer, like Mommy's :)

Wednesday:
Both Ayson and Daddy got a kick out of Addie's toy piano on Wednesday.  The both totally ignored Ayson's piano that has all the "bells and whistles" (literally!)

Addie: "Hi Mumma! I LOVE to bounce!!!"

Addie playing with the boys.

Mommy loves this picture :)

On Saturday morning, Ayson was up early and Addie slept in!  Daddy gave Ayson a chocolate donut and as you can see, Ayson had fun (yuck!  Mommy thinks that these particular donuts are gross and have no real flavor/taste but Daddy loves them and now so does Ayson).

Goofing around Saturday morning.  Addie does not look too certain of all of Ayson's shenanigans.

Mason watching Addie eat cheerios and just hoping for one to fall on the floor.

Since we knew rain was expected for the upcoming week, we went outside after dinner to get in a bit of fresh air.

Just about all of the leaves are off the trees but there are a few patches of pretty trees with yellow leaves still on the mountain.

Addie's 7 Month Photo and Pumpkins!

Addie turned 7 months old on Monday.   We all had mild colds during the week and snot is still plentiful with the kids!  A cold did not slow Ayson down and Addie was still our easy going Baby Doll.

Addie's 7 Month Boppy photo.  She is such a good sleeper and eater.  This little girl loves to eat :)  Mommy finally found something (so far) that Addie does not like: Daddy's beef with orange curry...Mommy and Daddy liked it...yum!

Addie playing with Mommy and her lamb blanket that Auntie Holly and Family gave Addie.

LOOK at those legs!  Mommy loves baby rolls and Addie does not disappoint :)

Tuesday: Even with a cold, Addie was still mostly smiles for Mommy, Daddy, Ayson, AND the camera!

Ayson and his sidekick, Mason.

Wednesday: Ayson" "Cheese! I am the BIG brother!"

Addie: "Hi BIG Brother!"

Thursday: Addie in her cute baseball outfit...one of the many outfits from Auntie Holly :)

Addie kept reaching for Ayson's hair on Friday night...here she is hamming it up for the camera.

On Saturday, we carved pumpkins after the kids woke up from their afternoon naps.

Snack time!

Ayson at first was hesitant to squish the pumpkin guts in his hands but Mommy thinks he started to get the hang of it and actually started to like the squishiness :)

Ayson doing his "Grandpa Roger" face.

Addie holding on to her piece of pumpkin.

Daddy and Ayson discussing Ayson's pumpkin...Ayson wanted Mickey Mouse :)

More "Grandpa Roger" face :)

Ayson riding the broom around, like a witch...Daddy had to show him how to flip the broom around so that the bristles were in the back:)

We saw a double rainbow (the second is faint in this picture but is above the first rainbow) on Saturday.

Daddy and Mommy are becoming pumpkin carving wizards!  Four pumpkins carved in 40 minutes...beats last years time of 4 in an hour.

Ayson getting up close and personal with Daddy's pumpkin.

On Sunday, Ayson helped Daddy carry plants to the hedgerow.

Grandpa Chuck came by for a visit Sunday afternoon.
Below are a few shots of Addie getting a look at Grandpa.

Grandpa, Woody, Ayson, and Daddy.

Addie took an almost 3 hour nap Saturday afternoon but on Sunday, Mommy's Baby Doll only slept for 45 minutes during her afternoon nap.  She was falling asleep during dinner...notice the bread in her right hand and her left hand in "mid air."

After dinner, Grandpa played with Ayson.  Ayson is hiding from Grandpa...

Gotcha!
