Where Did the Week GO?!

Mommy and Daddy can barely remember what happened during the past week but she does remember going to bed at 6:30 on Tuesday and then to a wine tasting at her favorite spa on Thursday night...that's why there are not a ton of week night photos for this post:)
Everyone is doing well and we are having as much fun as we can!

Last Sunday afternoon:  Ayson sporting a bit of crack while playing with Gianna.

Ayson woke up early Monday morning so Daddy joined him in bed to make him go back to sleep...Mommy came in to wake both of the boys up Monday morning and this is what she found:)

Friday:

Saturday was overcast and damp all day but that did not stop A^4 from having fun inside!  We were galloping around to Overture of William Tell by Rossini.  Addie was on her pink pony and Ayson was riding around on his stick horse that he got for his birthday from Auntie Julie, Uncle Dan, and family.
Mommy loved "Loony Tunes" as a kid and wants the kids to watch it too...at least once :)


Daddy was busy in the kitchen making lunches for the kids.

Sunday was a gorgeous day!
Ayson and Daddy went fishing Sunday morning. Ayson caught a fish on ever cast (lucky boy!)...Daddy was not so fortunate BUT both boys still had a great time :)



Mommy and Addie had fun around home. We went for a nice walk along the paths in the orchard, played on the swing, and we played in the sand box.

Summer is Here!!

The weather was warm and sticky but we all had a great time playing outside when we could.  Ayson wanted to go camping with Daddy and finally got to Saturday night!!
Ayson's imagination surprises us at times and it cracks Mommy and Daddy up at what he will and will not pretend..."No Mommy, that's a chair, NOT a car!"

Both kids had slight colds and Mommy has a cute Addie story: Addie was sitting on Mommy's lap and Ayson asked for a tissue.  So Mommy helped Ayson blow his nose and then Mommy stuck the tissue on the side of Ayson's chair.  Well, Addie grabbed the tissue and then blew her own nose...such a good girl!
Other Addie news: Addie loves the kitties and every time she sees one she says "ithy, ithy ithy" (kitty, kitty, kitty).

Memorial day afternoon:
Ayson insisted on playing with the sprinkler. We told him that it was not very warm and that he would get cold..."but, Mommy, I'll pretend that the water is warm..."  Mommy ended up changing him into dry clothes within 15 minutes :)



After the kids woke up from their naps, we went to Sweeties for ice cream. Ayson ate the bottom of his cone first and then he had to dump the cone in a cup because it was melting too fast.

Tuesday:
Ayson lifted his tent up and over Addie and then he also got inside...let's go camping!



Wednesday:
Look out, Mommy, here comes a messy Baby Doll!

Friday:

Saturday:

After naps, A^4 went to "Community Days" where Ayson got to play with a real fire truck hose (and fire man), bounce like a mad man in a bouncy house, and play on the playground with other kids.  There was food, live bands, and fireworks (we did not stay for the fireworks).

Addie:  "Daddy, how are we ever going to get Ayson out of the Bouncy House...he has been in there FOREVER?!?"





Saturday night Ayson and Daddy slept outside in a tent!!!  Mommy and Ayson also had S'mores, yum!  The air mattress fit perfectly in Mommy's backpacking tent and Daddy said that they both slept great until about 4:30 when the birds started chirping :)


On Sunday, Mommy's friend (and work colleague), Robyn, stopped by for a visit with her dog Kada.  LOOK at the GREAT picture that Robyn took...and only on the 2nd try too!



Ayson had a great time watching Kada fetch the ball.  Thanks for the visit, Robyn!  Mommy and the kids enjoyed it!!!

Happy Memorial Weekend!

Happy Memorial Day to all!  We hope everyone has a chance to make time for those they care about and for those that cared enough to protect us!

Another week has gone by in a blur!  Addie is close to walking - she stands without support when she is not thinking about it.  She likes to "give five" and shake her head...usually "no."
Ayson has been waking us up WAY too early on the weekends so Mommy finally set the digital alarm clock up is his room and then taped a paper on the wall, where he could see it, with "7:00" written on it.  We told Ayson that he could not start asking for us to come and get him until the clock numbers matched the numbers written on the paper.  AND...it worked!!!  Mommy and Daddy slept in until 6:45 ish both Sunday and Monday mornings!  Of course we did not get out of bed until after 7:00 because we wanted to see if Ayson would finally start asking for us...and he did :)

Monday:

Mommy dressed Addie in the Scottish outfit that Daddy brought home.

On Saturday, we went to the Grand Opening of Mommy's Teacher's new yoga studio.  Ayson thought the best part was watching the train go by :)














On Saturday afternoon, A^4 went down to the creek to do a little fishing with the new fishing pole that Daddy got for Ayson.
