Virtual Camp, Garlic, and Pie!

Another week of summer has flown by for A^4.  Ayson participated in a virtual underwater camp with a friend, we ate veggies from our garden and played in the pool, and on Saturday we visited Grandma Collene for her birthday and braided over 700 heads of garlic!  We topped off the weekend with apple pie from our trees...and many dips in the pool.  We are sending good thoughts to all of our family and friends!!!!

NOTE- the new blog format does not let me easily select the size of the photo to upload so you will need to click on the photos to see the entire picture.

More flowers pictures :)

This sunny almost looks like it has a heart in its center

Ms Annie stopped by with gifts for the kiddos - to thank us for watering her gardens.  Thank you, Annie!

A sun catcher - thank you!

Look close between the trees and just a little low of middle...a powered parachute was in our valley early on Saturday morning!

We spent Saturday at Grandma Collene's to celebrate her birthday (8/11) and to braid garlic: 700 plus heads!!!

Happy Birthday, Grandma!!!

After the work, we played kickball and ate yummy food followed by hot fudge brownie sundaes.  Addie did NOT want to play kickball during the first round but once we were done, she kept asking when we were going to play again :)  She did a good job for her first time playing kickball with the "big kids" during the second round.

On Sunday, we caught up on chores, swam in the pool, AND made an apple pie with apples from our trees: Adam picked the apples, Amy and Ayson peeled/cut the apples, Ayson mixed the spices, and Adam and Addie made the crust.

There was enough filling and crust leftover for the kiddos to make their own little pie:)

Yum!  Don't forget the ice cream!!

Goodbye July and Happy Birthday Amy!

A quick week for A^4 with lots of pool and garden time.  We ate carrot cake during the week (to celebrate Amy and Adam's Anniversary) and blueberry pie on Sunday (for Amy's Birthday)  Yum!  The kids made Amy Birthday cards AND hardly complained during Amy's early morning kayak Birthday request :)  We are sending good thoughts to all of our family and friends and we hope everyone is doing well!!

Thunder relaxing with his cheek on a lego tree - certainly does not look comfortable- hahaha

Addie telling Amy to "stay back" while Addie checks on the frogs at our friend's house

There are at least two frogs in this picture

Addie wanted her picture with the frogs :)

The kids and a lego boat!

Minecraft craft time!

Ayson and his cat watching the world go by

Somehow Addie missed walking through the spiderweb that is in this picture and was right in the walkway!

Gorgeous summer flowers

Neighbor Jo found a perfectly intact and preserved dragonfly and she gave it to us to look at.  We think it is an Orange Meadowhawk.  The wings are SO intricate!

Ayson with the calves on Tuesday evening :)

The kids build...

and the cats play - hahaha.

Pretty hibiscus with TWO blooms!

One of our many pumpkins!

Saturday night Smores!

Adam made such a perfectly golden (and puffy) marshmallow that Ayson could not squish his graham cracker down because the marshmallow was SO big!

Amy's birthday request was to go kayaking at Labrador on Sunday morning :)

It was windy even early in the morning and the wind either held us back OR pushed us along!
Ayson getting pushed along.

Adam got a shoulder workout from towing Ayson :)

We had 20 cucumbers ready (and more will be ready by Monday!) so we made pickles!

Adding the garlic and dill

TaDa!!
