Happy Birthday Adam

A week filled with pictures - from feeding Sage, making jerky, receiving gifts, Adam's Birthday to hiking on the weekend.  We hope that our friends and family are doing well and enjoying he holidays!

Ayson ordered himself a lego advent calendar - so now he know exactly how many days until Christmas - hahaha.

HAPPY Birthday, Adam!!!!
Silly faces:

And Happy faces

The kiddos received their first Christmas gift of the year on Thursday and they were less than thrilled - new hiking boots!  (lot's of groaning ensued because the kids knew that their weekend mornings of sleeping in were over and we would be hiking again)

We did a short hike on Saturday to Tinker Falls and the boardwalk.  The water had formed a huge pool during the last rain events and it was neat to see the re-arranged environment!

A section of the pool where the bottom was scoured free of sediment.

Family photo at the boardwalk!

After our hike, we went to Luchsinger's to pick out our Christmas tree AND we found another book in memory of Meg

On Sunday, we went for a longer hike on the west side of Labrador Pond - to find snow!

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving to all of our friends and family!  We hope that everyone was able to relax and enjoy time with family and friends!!!

The kiddos relaxing by the fire place while listening to instrumental classical music (soothing to the cats, per Ayson)

Sage checking out Addie's shoulder.

We had a 2 hour school delay on Wednesday due to SNOW!   Even Addie went outside to stand in the cold stuff:)

Ayson shoveled the driveway and walkway - thank you, Ayson

Helping to make dressing/stuffing for Thanksgiving dinner.  Amy did not take many pictures but everyone had a wonderful time.

Snow AND a Rainbow

We saw snow on our mountain and a full rainbow this week - so cool.  Addie had Girl Scouts and the girls are preparing for a holiday sock drive to take place at the elementary school.  Amy and the kiddos had a lowkey weekend of normal chores and then RELAXING - it was awesome!  We hope that our family and friends our doing well and staying healthy!!!!

Tuesday morning snow on the mountain but not in the valley.

Addie and Sage!

On the way to school, Ayson spotted a rainbow on Thursday morning and then we realized it was a FULL rainbow.  On the way home (from dropping the kids off at school), Amy spotted a double full rainbow - amazing!
The rainbow from our backyard.

Addie lost a tooth on Friday afternoon while eating a twizlers!    Note the sticker on Addie's shirt - both kids were able to get their first dose of the Pfizer vaccine on Friday - yay!

A lowkey weekend for Amy and the kids while Adam was at deer camp (eating too much food, staying up late, and hunting :)  Amy and the kids did chores and then lounged around the house playing with the many many toys.

Addie playing with Cozmo

Ayson coding on his Piper computer.  Ayson has been singing Christmas song all week - can you guess who is excited???

Warm(ish) Weather Outings in Mid November!!!

Another gorgeous week with plenty of time outdoors.  Ayson is already singing Christmas songs...hahaha so we will probably be putting of decorations very soon.  We hope that everyone is doing well and we are sending good thoughts to our family and friends!

Ayson's Portol artwork (drawing is a favorite pastime when grounded and can't be on electronic devices)

We had gorgeous weather during the week and Amy took the kids to Stafford Park on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons to play with friends.

Amy and the kids had Thursday off for Veterans Day and we talked about our family members that have served in the military - and we give thanks for everyone for their service!

Ayson wanted to go to a local greenhouse to look for new succulents to purchase.  Addie found a plant too!  There were so many cool plants blooming in the greenhouses!!
Check out the amazing lemon tree with SO many lemons!

Ayson and his prized succulent plants!

Ayson is attempting to re-graft a moon cactus (the red portion) to the dragon fruit cactus (green portion) by using a baby moon cactus from Addie's grafted plant.

After the greenhouse visit and lunch, we met more friends at Stafford Park!

On Saturday, we helped our friends Bob and Annie clean up ash trees that had been cut down.  Ayson helped with the wood cutting and loading a good portion of the wood into our truck for next years firewood supply.

And Addie made kindling bundles for future fires in the fireplace :)

Ms Annie paid the kids (unnecessary but Thank you!) and gave everyone hot chocolate with lots of marshmallows :)

Addie snapped a picture of herself with her leopard gecko, Sage (Addie determined that since leopard geckos eat insects and not plants that Sage was a better name instead of firefly)

Ayson made lemongrass tea out of the lemongrass plant that a friend of Adam's gave to us.  The tea was very tasty.  Ayson then tried to make mint tea (from our gardens) and he did not like the mint tea.

New Family Member: Firefly

A low key week with no more football practices or games and Amy and Adam dealing with the kid cold that Ayson brought home and shared with the family :)   We hope that everyone is doing well and enjoying fall!!!

We do have a new pet family member!  Addie now has a baby leopard gecko named Firefly.  Firefly is getting used to her new environment (and she is nocturnal) so pictures may be few and far between.  Our friend's Ben (and Sam) from the Ms Linda day care timeframe, bred their leopard geckos and Addie's leopard gecko was born September 22!

Firefly at 1 month old (at Ben and Sam's...and Scott and Lucy's house)

Firefly's parents: the male is the albino (top picture)

An albino sibling to Firefly that Ben gave to his Dad, Scott :)

More pictures from Halloween night.  The kids trick or treated at our house twice:)  Then we went to Neighbor Jo's and Neighbor Denise's.

Denise's house :)  Amy made the kids were their costumes over their coats - the kids were not pleased.

A ginormous mum at Mrs Oliver's house that was decorated with lights!

After we visited our neighbor's we went trick or treating in a neighborhood in Tully and then drove back home to finish our evening with Ms Annie and Mr Bob.  The kiddos inspecting their loot.

The only picture from the week:  the cats.
