Mother Daughter Painting, Happy 50th Anniversary, and Community Days

It felt like a short week with Monday as Memorial Day.  Happy 50th Anniversary to Grandma Pat and Grandpa Roger!!!  We love you very much!!!  We had a fund week and weekend and we hope that our family and friends did too.

Tuesday was crazy hot but the flowers loved it!

Amy surprised the kiddos with watermelon when they came home from school.  Amy could not believe the BOTH kids had sweatshirts on while the temp was in the mid 80s - no, the school is not air conditioned.

Our poppies bloomed on Wednesday and then that afternoon a strong rain storm knocked the petals off.

The girl scout meeting was a mother daughter paint night :)

The kiddos wanted to go to the big park on Friday evening and both kids had fun playing with their friends.  Ayson played football and gaga ball while Addie ran around with Wakon.

Saturday was Community Days and of course Addie entered a rubber ducky into the duck race:)

Park Cleanup and Gardens

Another warm week with lots of walks around the gardens and fun outside!  On Saturday, we helped with a Park cleanup and then got the rest of the garden planted.  We hope that our family and friends are happy and healthy and enjoying May!!

Our irises are blooming!

On Saturday, we helped at the park cleanup across the street from our house.  We scraped and stained the teeter totter, the two park signs were fixed, old picnic tables removed and a new one brought in AND the post supporting the basketball backboard and hoop was finally straightened :)

We spent the rest of the weekend working in the gardens:)
