May Sports, Flowers, and Chores

Well, hello May!!!  Hard to believe that the first week of May has flown by!  We are sending good thoughts to our family and friends!!!!

Ayson had an away baseball game, the temps were in the high 40s (brrr!), and Ayson would not wear the long sleeve shirt that Amy brought to the game for him.  Sigh.

Ayson is in the very back - outfielder.

At bat

and a foul ball - can you see the ball in the photo??

He ended up getting hit with the ball and made it to first base.

Second base,

THIRD base :)

And he made it home!!!!!  Ayson was so excited :)

We took the chicks outside for a bit of fresh air.

Chickens, Garden Walks, and Baseball

We had a busy week with school, work, taking care of our chicks, and attending Ayson's first baseball game.  We hope our family and friends are doing well and enjoying spring!!

We spent plenty of time with our chicks!

On Thursday, we had gorgeous afternoon weather so Addie and Amy took the chicks outside for a bit of fresh air before we headed to the school for Ayson's first baseball game.

Ayson hit the ball but it was a foul.

Addie had fun with a friend - and Amy was glad that she did find someone to play with because the game lasted three hours - eek!

Our crab apple tree was in full bloom on Friday!

Addie had a friend over on Saturday and the girls had fun playing on the trampoline in the misty/drizzly weather.

Chickens!!!!

Amy was in New Orleans, LA for work during the week so no pictures of the kiddos.  Due to busy travel schedules, Adam left for a trip at 9 am on Friday and Amy did not get home until the wee hours of Saturday morning.  Luckily, Ms Annie and Mr Bob had the kiddos over Friday night and Ayson helped Mr Bob clear brush - THANK YOU, Annie and Bob!!!  The kids were super excited to pick up the chicks that we are going to help raise (the chickens will live out their lives at our friend's house 2 minutes down the road)

Is it Spring or is it Summer??

We came home from vacation and had a very busy week AND we got to see our spring flowers starting to bloom!!  We hope our family and friends are doing well and enjoying spring (that feels like summer)!

A walk around the yard on Monday included a piggy back ride,

a little bit of football,

and baseball practice.

On Tuesday we went to a friends house so that the boys could play disc golf.  Addie hugged a chicken instead :)

Gorgeous evening during our walk around the gardens!

On Thursday, we went to Ms Annie's Dad's house.  Thanks for the visit!!!

Interesting centers in the flowers!

On Saturday, we picked up Sage from our friends that were taking care of her while we were away.  Addie was happy to hold Sage :)

Ayson located another geocache spot near us so of course we had to go explore!

This cache location was started in 2015!

And the last visit was on Ayson's birthday - March 8, 2023.

What a gorgeous weekend!  After getting yard chores done in the morning, Addie had fun on the trampoline with the sprinkler :)
