Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to our family and friends!  We hope everyone enjoyed a relaxing holiday!  Our holiday break has been very low key with no long excursions due to puppy duty :)  Amy and Adam did head out for two short hikes while the kiddos watched the puppies.

On Saturday, Addie and Amy joined Neighbor Denise at the cat shelter to help socialize (and love on) the cats.  This is cat shelter where Thunder and Shadow and then Saffron came from :)

We took the puppies for a small walk at Labrador Unique area.  The puppies did great on the trail!

When the puppies were not awake, they were asleep on the floor or cuddled next to Ayson or Adam.

 

Welcome Home

We brought home TWO new family members this weekend - puppies!!!  Ayson and Adam now have 8 week old German Shephard and Siberian Husky mix puppies.  We hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the holidays with family and friends!!!

But first, look at how great Thunder and Saffron are getting along!

On December 7, we drove north to see the puppies and determine if the puppies would be a good fit for us and us for them.  The kids could not believe the (poor) road conditions!

Holiday Concert and Happy Birthday to the Aunties!!

We hope everyone is doing well and staying healthy!  We have been having fun watching Thunder and Saffron get used to each other.  The two cats were chasing each other around the house Saturday morning and using furniture to leap over each other.  We had THREE family members with birthday this week: Aunties Julie and Shirley on the 11th and Auntie Holly on Friday - We hope you had a wonderful birthday week!  We are sending good thoughts to our family and friends!!!

We attended Addie's holiday concert this week and enjoyed the compilation of songs.  Addie is in the center (just to the left of the conductor) and is wearing her converse shoes.

Cookie and Tree Decorating

We hope everyone is having a wonderful December!  The week seemed to fly by with school and work, we finally got snow in our yard- but not enough to cancel school :)  and we had a fun weekend with friends.  We are sending good thoughts to our family and friends and hope everyone is staying healthy and enjoying the holidays.

We had fun over the weekend visiting with Ms Annie and Mr Bob.  We ate good food, hot chocolate and apple cider, frosted cookies, and the kids helped decorate the tree. 

Ms Annie had the cookies and ALL the trimmings ready for cookie decorating and had a few new decorating designs for the kiddos to try out.

Ayson has been telling Ms Annie that she needs a real tree - and THIS year Mr Bob and Ms Annie got the tree from the same place we did :)

On Sunday, Addie helped Amy pick out an orange male cat about 2 years old to adopt.  Amy has not settled on a name yet but he is super friendly and loves to cuddle.  Thunder is not so sure :)

Happy Thanksgiving and Happy Birthday Adam!

We hope everyone had an enjoyable Thanksgiving with family and friends!  We spent the holiday at Grandma Collene's.  On Saturday, we got our Christmas tree. On Sunday, we celebrated Adam's birthday with a hike at Labrador, good food, and chocolate chip cookies.
