Happy Halloween!!

The week went by fast with Daddy away for work Tuesday through Friday.  Grandma Collene was a life saver for Mommy, when Daddy's flight was cancelled on Friday.  The kids had a great time playing with Grandma, Ruby, and trick or treating!!!  Thanks, Grandma!


Daddy finally carved his pumpkin on Monday.  The kids were giving him pointers :)

Daddy was away for work (meetings with a mining company in Calgary and Sparwood, B.C., Canada) and he got his picture taken next to this behemoth named the Titan.   Daddy said only one Titan was ever produced and that it was the largest, highest capacity haul truck in the world for 25 years.  The Titan was restored and is now on display as a tourist attraction.



Daddy's flight home on Friday was cancelled due to traffic control issues in Chicago...SO instead of getting home in time for the Halloween festivities, he did not get home until midnight.  Mommy called in the reinforcements (Grandma Collene) so that we could still get things done on Friday: Take Addie to the Drs (pink eye), go to Ayson's first parent/teacher conference, Trunk or Treating, and the Tully Thriller dance.  Thanks, Grandma!!!  Mommy could not have done it without you!!!

Trunk or Treat!
Ayson did not want to wear his Spiderman/Batman costume again (he wore it last week at the elementary school party) and told us he wanted to be Buzz Light Year (lucky for us the costume still fit :)  We did not let Addie pick her own candy, we would put it in her pumpkin (to try and contain the germs...)

During the parent/teacher conference, Mrs Nicholson said Ayson is doing really well in school: gets along with the other kids, is happy, listens well, and enjoys school.  Great job, Big Guy!



After Trunk of Treat, we went into the community building for games and more treats: the goal of this game was to eat the powdered donut (on a string) without using hands...everyone had white faces.



Mommy dressed as a "hunter zombie."  Mommy participated in a rendition of Michael Jackson's "Thriller" dance that the Tully Council for the Arts sponsored.  Mommy has been practicing since August (every Sunday from 6-7 pm) and Halloween was the big event.  Ayson did not like the fake blood on Mommy's face.  If Mommy finds a copy of the video from the performance, she will put in on the blog.



Grandma surprised the kiddos with water color paint books, thanks Grandma!!!  We loved having you with us for Halloween!



Ayson went to his first school-friend birthday party and it was at a faculty filled with bounce house type equipment.  The kids had a blast and Ayson was worn out Saturday night!
