Daddy had a quick overnight meeting in Ottawa, Canada Wednesday and Thursday.

The food and french speaking people had Daddy reminiscing about our trip to France 2 years ago (this same time of year!). On Saturday, Daddy cooked a "French" dinner...the meal we cooked during our cooking class (minus the scallops :)
Apple cheddar crepes...yum!! Thanks for the picture, Daddy!

Meanwhile, back with Mumma, Daddy was supposed to go to a concert with Mommy on Thursday night (Daddy was not scheduled to get home until around 9 pm on Thursday): Vince Gill and The Time Jumpers (Western Swing).

Mommy and Daddy had already lined up Grandpa Chuck to come over to watch the kiddos for us so Mommy just needed to find another participant OR go alone....

Luckily for Mommy, Grandma Collene agreed to join Mommy for a night of music :)

The kiddos had fun with Grandpa, Grandma, and Ruby and Mommy and Grandma had a fantastic time listening to the Time Jumpers :) In addition to Vince Gill singing, the other members of the band also sang AND Paul Franklin is a 15 (or is it 16...) time ACM winner as Best Steel Guitarist (2nd person from the right). Incredible music and the venue (Turning Stone Casino/Resort) was a great place.

The Time Jumpers played for about 1 hour and 20 minutes and that put us home around 10:30. Mommy and Grandma WOULD have went right to bed but Grandpa Chuck left us a "night cap" :) THANKS, Grandpa!!!

Ayson goofing around on Saturday afternoon...in the baby swing. Notice that Ayson finally has short hair...Daddy and Ayson went on an excursion Saturday morning (7 different stops in total) and one of the stops was to Barber Sam :)

Our neighbor and friend, Donna, stopped by the park with her grandchildren and Ayson and Addie had fun playing with Patrick (11) and Hanna (10). Both of the older kids were so kind and aware of the little ones. Both Ayson and Addie could not WAIT for the kids to come back to the park on Sunday!

One of the other stops from Saturday was to Hobby Lobby were the boys picked out a new "pet"...Tripos (a type of tadpole shrimp). Supposedly the shrimp will hatch in about 72 hours and will live for about 90 days :) Wish us luck!
The kids pouring the eggs and sand into the water:

On Sunday afternoon, Daddy tilled the garden so that we could plant peas! Nothing better than a summer sunshine warmed sugar snap pea fresh from the vine!

Addie wanted to see the flower behind her ear so Mommy took a picture and then showed Addie the picture...too cute!

Look at Ayson following the instructions...three finger spaces between each pea...then he got tired/bored and just dumped the peas into the trough that Daddy had made:)

We spent a good hour back at the park with Patrick and Hanna and a bunch of their cousins and friends.
