Gorgeous weather, Curriculum Night, and an Ear Ache

We had a great week, weather wise and spent plenty of time outside. Both kids had snotty noses that were not from allergies and Addie ended up with an ear infection :( We had another great weekend at home getting projects accomplished around the house and yard and cheered Ayson on during another football game.

On Monday evening, the kiddos posed with Gianna and the creations that Ayson and Gi made last Sunday (late afternoon while Addie was taking a bath:)

Picking raspberries!

Just a pretty late "summer" picture that Mommy could not resist sharing:)

Miss Annie texted Mommy this picture of Addie and Lilly at the afterschool program on Tuesday!  Lilly was in Ayson's Pre-K class and Lilly would always chat with Mommy when Mommy would pick Ayson up from the after School Program...such sweet girls :)

On Tuesday evening, Daddy and Ayson practiced throwing the football through the tire swing! Addie went to bed early Tuesday as she was tired and not behaving (she also had a cold so that is probably what was dragging her down).

Mommy and Addie checked out the gardens on Wednesday while the boys were at football practice.

Addie next to the massive sunflower head.

Lots of seeds for the birds!

A hellbender salamander stopped by work on Thursday and Mommy had to get a picture!  Colleagues from Mommy's office borrowed the costume and now the costume is on its way back to Buffalo

Mommy attended the Cirriculum Night for both Ayson and Addie on Thursday night.  Gianna watched Addie for Mommy (boys were at football).  Thanks Gianna!

Check out the note that Addie's teacher sent home Thursday night (Mommy laughed so hard she had tears).  Addie had her backpack STUFFED with toys on Thursday morning and Mommy was in a hurry and did not fight Addie on it.  Mommy and her teachers all had problems getting Addie's lunch box into her backpack due to the backpack filled with animals :)

Info on first grade:

Ayson was in the "scared" category (new class without his best friends...Parker and Grady)

The classroom.

Every morning, the kids start out on "Ready to Learn."  Based on their behavior, the clip can be moved up or down the list.  Kids that reach outstanding get on the "Hall of Fame" AND get a prize!

A note on spelling and writing from the Teachers to the Parents.

The curriculum that Addie will be learning in Pre-k

Addie stated "write name" :)

On Friday morning, Mommy woke up to Addie sitting in the hallway...totally freaked Mommy out! Addie's ear hurt :(
SO, Mommy and Addie put Ayson on the bus, went to Mommy's work so she could pick up her computer (Addie got to meet some of Mommy's friends/colleagues), and then we went to the Drs.
She had an ear infection (at least the infection was not in both ears!)
After the Drs appointment, Mommy allowed Addie to get an ice cream cone...if only ice cream could fix everyone's problems!

Addie was OUT Friday night even before she ate her dinner!

Daddy wearing the funny t-shirt that Grandma Collene sent him: a deer wearing camouflage and asking "can you see me now?"  Grandpa Roger (dressed in his military fatigues) used to ask Mommy and Auntie Holly the exact same thing (while standing behind an apple tree) when they were little girls.  Grandpa and Auntie, do you remember this?!?

On Saturday, Mommy and Beverly went to the Italian Festival in Syracuse (lots of yummy food) while Daddy and the kiddos played with Gianna! Mommy brought home 2 tasty treats to share with the kiddos.
Fun at the "little park"

Go, go, go, Addie!!!

Hi Addie!

Both kids wanted to play with the kinetic sand Saturday night.  It was an early night for A^4 as Ayson had a football game at 8:30 on Sunday morning!

Addie messing with snap chat filters, Ayson out on the field, and Daddy walking by :)  Earlier this week, Ayson received a sticker on his helmet for the great job he did at blocking on offense during last Sunday's game.  Great job, Ayson!
