Summer Adventures

This week the kiddos went to the splash park, bowling, the beach, and back to the camp "formerly known as Adam's Eden" :)  A^4 has had fun this week exploring the flowers and insects in our yard and eating the berries (Mommy and Daddy approved berries only!) along our adventures.

From the back porch, Mommy could see one very tall purple coneflower blooming.

So then Mommy had to share pictures of the rest of the gardens :)

Orange butterfly weed and purple coneflower.

Addie and Gianna bouncing last weekend (a picture that did not make it to the blog).

Mommy attended the Outlaw Music Festival with a girlfriend last Sunday!
Willie Nelson!!

Lacrosse practice was rained out again on Monday.  Ayson wearing the shoes that Mommy JUST washed and dried...

Addie and Mikhan at the Splash Park on Tuesday.

The sunflowers are now taller than Addie!
Addie is wearing her super hero mask (and her swim shirt under her sundress WITH her high heel sandals:)

Daddy pointing out a big toad to Addie.  (Ayson is still inside eating his dinner...)

Addie getting a closer look at the toad.

The kiddos are collecting cicada shells again!!  Mommy found one on her swing!

There's Ayson!  He finally finished his dinner and came out to collect cicada shells in his new socks. Sigh.

Night, night, Daddy!

Looking for more cicada shells on Friday night. Check out the awesome limbs on our box elder tree!!!

A walk in the orchard on Saturday and a little snack of black berries along the way :)

On Sunday, we ventured out to Labrador Unique Area to hike Tinker Falls and check out the blueberry crop along the boardwalk.
The kiddos testing out the springiness of the moss.

Daddy spotted Indian Pipe (also called Ghost Flower) along our hike!

The wet summer has brought out all sorts of cool mushrooms!

Addie checking out a moth

Ayson at the boardwalk

The blueberries along the boardwalk were SO tasty!!!!

Yum!

Daddy and his barnacles...most of Saturday and Sunday afternoon looked like this!
