Last Week of Summer Program and Fun with Friends

Where did the time go?!?  The Summer Program ended on Thursday-eek!  Over the 6 week program, the kiddos went to the movies, a splash park (almost every week), the beach (twice), a camp (now called Mercy Mountain) every Friday, pizza parties (every week), bowling, put put golf, arts and crafts, yoga, cooking for kids, the library (the zoo came the the library), Bricks for Kids (Lego) - Mommy is certain she is forgetting activities but she knows the kiddos had fun even though they had to get up at 6 am each morning ;)  We have been packing in all sorts of fun summer adventures but the days are getting shorter!!!  We hope everyone is having a great summer as well!

The boys played hide and seek outside (Addie was cranky and went to bed EARLY!).  Best hiding spots: in the truck, in the tree, and on TOP of the fort (Adam told Ayson "don't try this" - sigh)

Reading Calvin and Hobbes :)

Addie (and Ayson) received thank you cards for last weekends pool birthday parties.

This is how Addie walked down the road - she was too HOT to wear a tank top (no shoes)!

Taste testing our yummy apples!

Another great year for apples!!

Addie found a four leaf clover and Mommy told her we needed to put it into a thick book to press it so that is would last.

THEN Mommy remembered that she used to keep her four leaf clovers in her bible and look what Mommy and Addie found :)

On Thursday evening, we went to Cazenovia Lake to visit with Mommy's friends (and colleagues).

Andy, Robyn, and Adam.  Not pictured: Andy's wife, Kristin, and Robyn's husband, Chris.

The kiddos had fun playing with Andy and Kristin's kids: Ethan, Alden, and Anderson:)
Jumping on the massive water map!

Fishing with Alden

Mommy even went water skiing!  Thanks, Andy!  Mommy told Andy that she JUST washed her hair and did NOT want to get her hair wet (so no crazy moves or speeds!)

After Mommy skied (hair did not get wet!!!!), Andy took Adam and Ayson for a ride (Addie did not want to go)

Addie and Adam mastering the wooden peg game.
Thanks, Andy and Kristin, for opening up your home to us for the evening!  We had fun and it was great to see the kiddos interacting :)

The kiddos in their "Five Nights at Freddies" armor (when you loose privileges such as kindles, you get creative!)

On Saturday we had a play date with Ashley Kolbeck (Ayson's 2nd and 3rd grade teacher) and her family at Dwyer Park
The wading pool was a big hit!

Mikhan also joined us for the afternoon and had fun with the kiddos.  We were having so much fun at the park that instead of Mikahn joining us for a sleepover (at our house), Mommy picked Mikhan up and brought her back to the park so that we could continue playing at the park.

The kids had a blast fishing and exploring in the creek

Ayson caught AT LEAST five fish and he was very careful to remove the hook and throw the fish back

In addition to fishing, the kids had a blast hunting for crayfish.  They would catch the small ones in their hands.  After getting pinched by the bigger crayfish, the kids would use a little net that we brought along.

The kids ended up adding crayfish and one fish to our fish tank - we shall see if the massive gold fish eats the crayfish.

Addie was SO excited to have Mikhan over for a sleepover!  The girls had fun playing and slept great (thankfully!)
