LAST week of summer vacation for the kids - we made certain to end the summer on a high note! We took the kids to Water Safari (and ate plenty of junk food). Amy took SO many pictures this past week - so enjoy! We hope that all of our family and friends are doing well and we are sending good thoughts to all!!!
Sunday evening double rainbow!
Ayson made three terraria between Sunday evening on Monday afternoon. He watched a few instructional videos on YouTube and then gathered all necessary materials :)
Addie made a temporary home for a slug in her bug catcher :)

Great job, Big Guy!
Tuesday evening was a great for garden pictures!!!!
Capturing the 2021 garden view:)
On Wednesday morning, A^4 plus Ayson's friend, Jackson, spent the day and 1 night in Old Forge. All three kiddos had received tickets for Water Safari (a water park) for each child reading 6 hours during a reading challenge. The weather was cooler but that just meant no lines for any of the water or "dry" rides and everyone had a blast!!
Killing time at a nearby park while waiting for Water Safari to open.
Water Safari!!!!
Ayson on the new water ride where the floor drops away...crazy!
Ah, the lazy river
Addie wanted cotton candy and a corn dog...check and check!!!
Kids of all ages enjoyed the bumper cars.
The air temps were too cold for Amy to get in the water but that allowed Amy to take plenty of pictures and watch all of the stuff.
Water Safari has a "Story Book" section of exhibits that Addie and Amy explored.
Incredible exhibits!
The Sky Line ride was a hit!
Riding the train from one end of the park to the other while waiting for the boys :)
Another turn on the water slides!!
The kids were chilly but that did not stop them from eating froze dots (super cold ice cream).
Watch out!
Addie asked Amy to retake the photo because "criminals would not be smiling" - too cute!!!!
After the kids stayed at Water Safari until closing (5:30), they still had plenty of energy for the hotel pool!
Gorgeous end to a fabulous day - sunset from the hotel room!
Pretty sunnies from Friday
On Friday, Ayson made this pumpkin lantern out of cardboard. Each section was cut, painted, and then taped together.
Ayson also constructed candy corn...he loves Halloween :)
Ayson putting together a potato clock that he purchased in Old Forge
The first football game of the season - Ayson's team lost but the kiddos had fun!
On Monday, Addie had a friend over for a play date while Ayson recovered from a birthday party sleep over :)
