Lincoln Pond Vacation: Thursday Through Saturday

Lincoln Pond Vacation: Thursday through Saturday.  We spent Thursday close to the house and on Friday, the 4th of July, we went to Fort Ticonderoga.  We drove home Saturday morning and were home by 1:30.  We hope our family and friends are doing well and had a wonderful 4th of July with family and friends!

Thursday:

A walk behind the house to find the creek.

Ayson was sad because it was taking SO long to roast the marshmallow on the small fire that HE made.

We spent the 4th of July at Ticonderoga Fort

So far, she has one layer of netting on the rope - the net needs to be 12 feet wide!

Lincoln Pond Vacation: Tuesday Through Wednesday

More pictures from Tuesday and Wednesday of our vacation at Lincoln Pond.

On Tuesday, it rained in the early morning so we all slept in and then Adam made an awesome breakfast of eggs, home fries, bacon, and fruit. 

Later that afternoon, we hiked a short ways to Belfry Mountain Fire Tower.  The first fire tower for the kiddos!

We spotted a turtle on the way back to the car.

We wanted to see how the puppies would do in the pond.

They loved it!

Addie was determined to catch a fish.  She found a bigger net and used oatmeal and worms as bait.

Yay!  Look at that smile.

Addie "only" caught 2 fish and was disappointed that she did not catch more.

On Wednesday early morning, Amy and Addie went for an early morning kayak on the south end of Lincoln Pond.

Meanwhile, the boys hiked Cascade Mountain.

It was so windy that water poured out of Ayson's water bottle sideways!
