Family Fun

A^4 had an uneventful week and then we spent the weekend with Daddy's family for the 3rd annual Rib Off.  We had a great time visiting with family and friends.  Thanks Aunt Julie and Uncle Dan for hosting this year!

Addie is teething and has not been complaining that much but it still can't be fun...poor girl!
Addie's words for the week: milk, Gianna, and ... (...Mommy can't remember the 3rd word but when she does, she will fill it in!).  The third word was EAT!

Ayson picked up a new term this week, "I hate you"...which was directed at Mommy.  Mommy told him that was a very hurtful phrase and that saying it to anyone would make the person very sad and would result in an automatic extended timeout.  He said "is it worse than saying poop at the table?"...Yes.  For balance, Ayson has been telling Mommy that he loves me without prompt (Mommy usually starts by saying "Guess what...I love you, Guess what, I think you're great, Guess what, I love you!")

Monday:
Daddy and Addie done with dinner and playing on the floor while Ayson plays with his food...

Tuesday:
Addie was not happy... her ball had rolled away...and Daddy did not give it back right away :)

Daddy practicing his juggling skills (a step up from apples)

Neighbor Gianna stopped by for a visit.

Wednesday:
Addie posing in her cute dress with a pout face.  The apple must feel good on her gums.

Thursday:
Sandbox time!  Check out Addie's cute sandals (and those little legs!!)...too bad Mommy did not buy the next size up because these sandals will barely make it through this summer.

What a great smile from the big guy!

Saturday was the "Rib Off" with Daddy's side of the family.  We had 3 grill masters and they ALL tied in terms of tastiness:)  Notice the black object next to the utility vehicle...that is a tent rolling around with 3 kids in side.

Grandpa Chuck and Addie sitting in the shade.  LouLou gave Addie a pair of pink Timberland boots and this was Addie's first time wearing them.  The boots are a bit big but will get lots of use this fall/winter :)

The grills and the audience supervising from the shade.

Pama and the kids.  The kids LOVED Grandpa Chuck and Pama's pop-up trailer!

Addie was fascinated with Grandma Collene's mouth while she was taking to Jerry (family friend)

A big smile!

Uncle Dan did a number on his cup...

Daddy cooked quesadillas, fajitas, ribs, and brisket plus he brought corn from our garden...we were all stuffed!  In addition to that, everyone else brought sides and ribs!!!

Ayson playing in the can that was used to transport the kid toys.  Mommy brought her back packing tent (in the background) so the kids would have somewhere of their own to play.

The three kids rolled that tent all over the grass and then when we unhooked the tent polls (so they would not get broken), the kids still played in the tent!

Barbara (Dan's Mom), Kaela, and Uncle Dan going for a ride while crazy Auntie Julie is in the background.

Addie getting some quality time with Grandpa Ric and Daddy.

Addie was a vulture when it came to Grandma's food :)

After the meal, we had a nice bonfire.  A^4 camped out in our 2 room tent.

Sunday morning:
Ayson playing with real legos and Addie playing with a baby doll and stroller...to cute!
