Last Saturday morning, Daddy found out his High School was having his 20th class reunion...Daddy did not know about it!
We ended up catching up with three of Daddy's classmates over brunch on Sunday, on our way to the Brad Paisley concert (Grandma Collene watched the kiddos).
Addie loves to play a game called "The Honey Bee Tree" (a gift from Gianna). "Leaves" are placed in the tree and then "bees" are placed on top of the leaves. The goal is to remove a leaf without having any bees fall out the bottom. However, Addie got such a kick when a bee would fall:)
Addie's mouth is wide open in all of the pictures because she was smiling, laughing, and squealing the entire time.
Mickey Guyton was the opening act at Darien Lake. Amy got 3rd row seats so that Adam would be able to watch Brad Paisley close up and see all of his guitar "picking." There was a section right in front of the stage that was standing only but Adam insisted on a seat! We lucked out parking wise as we were right next to the exit and it only took us 17 minutes to get out of the chaos and be on our way...THAT will never happen again!
It rained that evening and the roads at the event were so muddy but we were dry under the shell...not so much for the people on the lawn. In addition to the rain, the temps were in the high 50s...brrr!

Brad Paisley opened with Riverbank and the HUGE video screen showed a view of a river.
Amy did not take any pics of Brad standing directly in front of us because she was too busy enjoying the show!
Carrie Underwood sang "Remind Me" with Brad over the big screen.
Near the end Brad states: "So what do Hillbillies do with a 60 foot TV? We hook Nintendo up to it!" A 10 year old was then brought on stage to play the video game while Brad jammed.
Brad Paisley gave 2 guitars and his hat away...all to kids. Amy was surprised at the number of little kids at the show...some had ear protection but most did not :( Now Amy knows why the kids were at the show...Brad is a softy!
A^4 got back mid morning on Monday and the kiddos had fun in between the rain that afternoon.

Both Mommy and Daddy had Friday off so we started the long weekend with coffee (decaf) for Ayson and hot chocolate for Addie.
Then off to Sweeties for ice cream and to the Big Park for some kid fun! (Mommy wanted to go kayaking but got overruled...we did get out on Sunday).
Mommy HATES this climbing ladder and of course both kids LOVE it! Mommy can just envision the kids slipping on a rung and hitting their face/teeth on the metal bars...ugh.

THEN we went swimming at Gianna's pool while Gianna was away for the weekend.
Ayson had so much fun and did not want to get out even though he was shivering and his lips were blue. Addie did a great job of gaining confidence in the water.
Mommy weeded in the early mornings before the sun could "cook" her...temps started in the low 60s over the weekend...perfect! The kids came out Saturday morning to "help"

A bit of T-ball
Our lawn mower is still broken (about a month now) and Daddy pushed mowed the main portion and then changed into his swim trucks and joined the kiddos for a dip in the pool.

Daddy setting off firecrackers. The Anthony's got home around 10 pm on Saturday and then we joined them in their yard to watch Mr Anthony's fireworks display...the "cake" was awesome! Thanks for including us, Dave, Jo, and Gi!
S'more time! Ayson had at least 3 smores and 4-5 marshmallows.
Yum! Addie only ate 1 smore and about 3 marshmallows.

On Sunday, we went to Tully Lake and did a bit of kayaking. Then it was a repeat of the previous days: swimming pool and good food. On Friday, Daddy made Lebanese style chicken (in honor of our favorite restaurant in Cortland, Pita Gourmet) along with hummus, tabouli, and Pakistani meatballs. On Sunday, Daddy made a fabulous Thai inspired dinner that used peas from our garden...yum! As to the kids, since it was a "holiday," they ate hot dogs and mac and cheese...sigh...Mommy hates hot dogs (even if they are Hoffman's!)!
Addie had a great time playing with water lily flowers, watching the dragonflies and damselflies, looking for fish, and sticking her hands in the water. Ayson was more limited, movement wise, in Daddy's kayak and he stated he was "bored" :)
