Daddy's coleague was telling Daddy how "boring" regular kids games are so Daddy told her to give us options...and she did! Daddy came home with 3 different games that we all had fun discovering this week :)
Zombie Dice was a game of chance with the goal of eating BRAINS from your human victims! The kids got riled up from shaking the canister that held die and from yelling BRAINS! Riled up kids did not go to bed well Monday night, so this game was NOT Mommy and Daddy's favorite :)
Tuesday night had us playing "Ticket To Ride" (a 2004 "German Game of the Year"). This game was a little too advanced for the kiddos so Mommy made up our own counting game where we were trying to connect train cars to expand railways....the kids loved the little train pieces the best.
Wednesday and Thursday night had us playing, "Tsuro, The Game of the Path." Ayson and Daddy really loved this game and Addie got into the game when she realized that she could make Ayson go off the edge of the board and lose. Mommy got a kick out of Daddy constantly telling the kids "Follow the Path" and after awhile of hearing Daddy repeat "follow the path" it sounded like Daddy was the leader of a cult ;p
Daddy hooked up the utility tub in the pantry (with the washer/drier) so the piano recently got a new home in the "play room" which is great because now the kids tinker on it more. Mommy's goal is to learn to play and maybe get the kids interested too!
Saturday afternoon was sunny, chilly, and windy but that did not stop the kids from playing outside. Addie riding her trike down the hill at the "Little Park." Mommy was impressed that Addie was brave enough to go down the hill!

On Saturday night, Mommy went to a "Paint and Sip" that was held at 1911, Beak and Skiff's Apple distillery. Our goal was to paint an apple blossom picture...notice the bottle of gin :)

Mommy's finished picture safely made it home...it was crazy windy and one of our paintings almost got taken away with the wind!
Apple blossoms are one of Mommy's favorite...along with Lilly of the valley and sunflowers :)

On Sunday, a friend/colleague of Daddy's came over with his twin boys and we all went out to the apple orchard to do a bit of rabbit hunting. The boys did not see ONE rabbit. Granted, the temps were crazy warm on Sunday (low 60s) so the rabbits may have been wisely staying hidden...also Mommy can't imagine that Ayson managed to stop talking for long while out hunting :)

Once Mommy saw the thickets that the boys were going to walk through, Mommy and Addie pealed off and went down to the creek to do a little bit of splishing and splashing!

The kids worked on the letter B
The back of the B worksheet had, from top left to bottom right, a bully, a bull, a bed, AND a bat:) Mommy had to ask Asyon about the (baseball) bat because Mommy was nervous that Ayson was already starting to draw body parts. Ayson has recently talked to Daddy about "boobs"...he is NOT EVEN SIX YET! sigh.
(Mommy was surprised to see the bully drawing. Mommy knows the kids learn about bullying in all grades but Ayson never talks about it. Every morning Mommy reminds Ayson to be nice to everyone...)
