Addie had won 4 VIP tickets to Wonder Works at Destiny USA (the "big" mall) from the Parade of Baskets and since the kids and Daddy had Friday off from school/work, Mommy left work early so that we could spend the afternoon playing.
We hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend and are thankful for all of the men and women that have served our country.
Both Addie and Mason decided to join Ayson and Daddy for story time on Wednesday :)

Planting the garden on Thursday night! Daddy put down garden fabric with the hope of slowing the weeds and blight!

Helping Daddy

Addie planting sunflower seeds. The few seedlings are from seeds that sprouted in the main garden - Daddy saved them for Mommy so she could replant them in the sunflower patch:)

Look quick, they are playing nicely with each other!!!! :)

Wonder Works!
The Tesla Coil is a favorite of Ayson's

Addie likes the massive light bright, giant piano, and the bubbles.

Get ready!

Ugh, no thanks

Taking a break and eating "Dragon's Breath": liquid nitrogen frozen cereal

Both Daddy and Ayson were able to make the "smoke" come out of their noses!

A^4 then tackled the Canyon Climb - no pictures for this part because we were told to take everything off that might fall out - wait, what?!?
The kids were MUCH more fearless than Mommy and Daddy. Yes, we wore harnesses but Mommy kept thinking how hard it would be to get back "up" if she lost her balance and was swinging in the harness ;)
Ayson was the bravest and Addie did a fantastic job on the course (last time she was here she did the "Sky Tykes" course - only 1 foot off the ground)
Mommy found a clip on YouTube so everyone could get an idea of the Canyon Climb :)
The last activity included in Addie's VIP prize was laser tag and Addie did not want to play so Daddy and Ayson were able to play twice! Mommy and Addie were able to watch the boys "hunting" each other on a big screen.
We made homemade pizza for dinner that night - yum!

On Saturday, we went to Pratt's Falls - Ayson took this picture!

Mommy and Ayson walking and talking about the desert - we started talking about the moss covered path, then the dirt path, and THEN Ayson wondered what the sand is like in the desert :)

Ayson no longer will hold our hand in public :(
The only reason Daddy was able to capture this picture is because Mommy and Daddy are getting ready to swing Ayson by his hands. (Mommy needed to use both hands to lift Ayson.)
Also, Adam stated that since Ayson won't hold his hand and now calls him "Dad" instead of "Daddy" Adam no longer wants to be called "Daddy" on the blog. fine.

After the hike, we had ice cream! After dinner it was s'mores and "camping" in the tent for Adam and the kiddos. Mommy declined the offer to sleep in the back yard (She will wait until we use the two room "Taj Mahal" tent:)

The boys hanging by the fire

Waiting for the rain to go away on Sunday

Ayson has been talking about a Venus flytrap for 2 weeks and we found them this weekend - at Lowes

Corn hole challenge with the Boys against the Girls: the girls RULE!!!!

We ventured to the "big park" so that Addie could make larger circles :)

Addie with her ice cream and the rest of Mommy's - no way was Mommy going to let her "have a lick" (after the kids and Adam went down with a stomach bug!) so Mommy saved the last bit for Addie. She managed to finish both!

Ayson taking more photos

Monday dinner with a view - too bad you can't see the cottonwood tree "fluff" (seeds) floating in the air. Perfect end to a great weekend with family :)
